Perhaps, not a single radio amateur can do without printed wiring now, the advantages of which - a high density of parts, the reliability of the assembled circuits - are obvious. However, significant difficulties arise in the manufacture of printed circuit boards. Take at least the most common etching method we have. It is not always possible to accurately varnish the board with a mounting pattern, and the etching process itself is rather complicated. In addition, in the manufacture of transistor receivers, high and low frequency amplifiers, measuring instruments, or components of computing and cybernetic devices, the same boards are often needed. The method of printed-parallel assembly, which we will describe, not only does not require special devices and special skills, but also allows you to make any number of boards of the same type using a simple conductor.

Printed-parallel boards are made of foil-coated getinaks and differ from the usual ones in that the connecting conductors on them are arranged in parallel. Circuit elements are installed on the connecting conductors. If necessary, the conductors can be cut into separate parts or interconnected by jumpers.

To get a high density of mounting, you need to carefully consider the placement of circuit elements on the board.

To do this, as usual, a wiring diagram is drawn up on graph paper, best of all on a scale of 2: 1.

Let's analyze how the board is prepared for mounting a low-frequency amplifier to a transistor receiver (Fig. 1).

Rice. 1. ULF scheme: C1, C2 - EM or Tesla: C3 - IT-1; R1 - variable resistor with switch; R2 - ULM or MLT - 0,25; loudspeaker - 0,2 GD-1 with a voice coil resistance of 28 ohms.

First, a rectangular plate of predetermined dimensions is cut out from a piece of foil-coated getinax or textolite. Then, with a caliper, the foil is divided into seven equal strips, between which the foil is cut (Fig. 2).

After that, holes are marked and drilled from the side of the foil layer. The drill should have a diameter of 1,0-1,2 mm. Where necessary, incisions are made with a sharp scalpel (Fig. 3).

Circuit details and connecting jumpers (single-core tinned wire with a diameter of 0,5-1,0 mm) between individual strips are installed on the reverse side of the board (Fig. 4).

You need to solder the circuit with a small soldering iron, and its tip should not be wider than the foil strip. When soldering, make sure that the solder does not spread and does not close adjacent areas.

Printed-parallel boards can be made without foil getinaks. To do this, with BF-2 glue, strips of thin copper foil are glued onto any insulating material (textolite, getinaks. Plexiglas, etc.) with a thickness of 1,5-2,0 mm and the plates are heated at a temperature of 100-120 ° for two hours .

Artificial leather for touch emulation 15.04.2024

In a modern technology world where distance is becoming increasingly commonplace, maintaining connection and a sense of closeness is important. Recent developments in artificial skin by German scientists from Saarland University represent a new era in virtual interactions. German researchers from Saarland University have developed ultra-thin films that can transmit the sensation of touch over a distance. This cutting-edge technology provides new opportunities for virtual communication, especially for those who find themselves far from their loved ones. The ultra-thin films developed by the researchers, just 50 micrometers thick, can be integrated into textiles and worn like a second skin. These films act as sensors that recognize tactile signals from mom or dad, and as actuators that transmit these movements to the baby. Parents' touch to the fabric activates sensors that react to pressure and deform the ultra-thin film. This ... >>

Petgugu Global cat litter 15.04.2024

Taking care of pets can often be a challenge, especially when it comes to keeping your home clean. A new interesting solution from the Petgugu Global startup has been presented, which will make life easier for cat owners and help them keep their home perfectly clean and tidy. Startup Petgugu Global has unveiled a unique cat toilet that can automatically flush feces, keeping your home clean and fresh. This innovative device is equipped with various smart sensors that monitor your pet's toilet activity and activate to automatically clean after use. The device connects to the sewer system and ensures efficient waste removal without the need for intervention from the owner. Additionally, the toilet has a large flushable storage capacity, making it ideal for multi-cat households. The Petgugu cat litter bowl is designed for use with water-soluble litters and offers a range of additional ... >>

The attractiveness of caring men 14.04.2024

The stereotype that women prefer "bad boys" has long been widespread. However, recent research conducted by British scientists from Monash University offers a new perspective on this issue. They looked at how women responded to men's emotional responsibility and willingness to help others. The study's findings could change our understanding of what makes men attractive to women. A study conducted by scientists from Monash University leads to new findings about men's attractiveness to women. In the experiment, women were shown photographs of men with brief stories about their behavior in various situations, including their reaction to an encounter with a homeless person. Some of the men ignored the homeless man, while others helped him, such as buying him food. A study found that men who showed empathy and kindness were more attractive to women compared to men who showed empathy and kindness. ... >>

Google Pixel Buds Pro Wireless Headphones 15.05.2022

Google introduced the Pixel Buds Pro TWS wireless headphones. As the name suggests, this is a premium audio product that can compete with the Apple AirPods Pro and Samsung Galaxy Buds Pro.

The Pixel Buds Pro look just like the Pixel Buds introduced in 2020. Inside, they are equipped with a custom-made six-core audio processor that works with Google's algorithms to reproduce sound using custom drivers. They also use a feature called Silent Seal to adapt to the shape of your ears and thereby maximize the amount of noise cancelled.

The earbuds have an in-ear design and are equipped with silicone tips. They received special sensors that "measure the pressure in the ear canal so that the earbuds can actively release pressure and stay comfortable." Buds Pro retail packaging includes eartips in three different sizes.

The sound in the Pixel Buds Pro is handled by a specially designed 11mm driver. The volume equalizer automatically adjusts the sound setting based on the volume level. There is a transparency mode that allows ambient sound to pass through, allowing the user to hear ambient sounds without removing the headphones.

Pixel Buds Pro allows users to easily switch between frequently used Android devices without going into Bluetooth settings. In addition, they can be paired with two audio sources at the same time.

With ANC activated, the Pixel Buds Pro can last up to 7 hours, while normal playback time is about 11 hours. The headphones support wireless and fast charging. The company claims that they will be able to work up to one hour after 5 minutes of charging.

The earbuds are IPX4 water resistant and the charging case is IPX2 water resistant. Some of the other features available include Google Assistant support, spatial audio, Fast Pair, beamforming microphones, windproof mesh covers, voice accelerometer, and touch controls.

The Pixel Buds Pro will be available for pre-orders with the Pixel 6a on July 21st. They will be available from July 28 for $199 in the following color options: Coral, Lemongrass, Fog and Charcoal.
