The article published below provides the main technical characteristics of four inexpensive HF heads: D27TG-45-06 - VIFA; 25TAC/G - SEAS; MDT-29 - by MOREL and 25GDV-1 - by NPO Ferrit, which are quite suitable for two-way speakers.

The parameters of the heads according to the catalogs of manufacturers are given in the table. The experimentally measured frequency response of heads operating in open space without acoustic design are shown in fig. 1-4. The measurements were carried out with a LINEAR-X LMS analyzer when tone bursts were fed to the sound head and the measuring microphone was placed at a distance of 25 cm from it. The measurement results were averaged in 0,1 octave bands. The solid lines show the frequency response taken by a microphone located on the axis of the head, and the dashed lines show the microphone shifted relative to the axis by 30°.

The frequency response of the head impedance modules is shown in fig. 5-8.

The frequency response for sound pressure, given in the catalogs, has a significantly smaller unevenness (it is not indicated in the table) than the measured one. In the operating frequency ranges, it was 8 dB for the frequency response of the D27TG-45-06 head; 9 dB - for the frequency response of the 25TAC/G head; 6,5 dB - for the frequency response of the MDT-29 head and 10 dB - for the frequency response of the 25GDV-1 head. The measured values ​​of the resonant frequencies of the heads coincide with those indicated in the catalogs.

The startup, called "Quantified Gaming - know more, game better", needs to raise $100 for the successful commercial implementation of the idea, of which $39 was already transferred 22 days before the end of the campaign. The minimum cost of NAOS QG for crowdfunding participants who managed to place a pre-order on the site will be $79, and the manipulator will go to retail for $99.
