In repair and amateur conditions, you can use a simple small-sized drilling machine, which can be assembled on a tripod from an old school microscope of the ShM-1 type, or use a tripod from a biological simplified microscope of the MBU-4 type.
The spindle of the drilling machine is driven by a reduction V-belt drive by a sewing machine engine (18 W, 4000 rpm).
The chuck of the machine is designed to hold standard drills with a diameter of up to 6 mm. Drills with a larger diameter can be clamped in the chuck after turning their shanks to the specified diameter. The drill in the machine is fed by a rack-and-pinion mechanism of the microscope tube.
Using the machine, you can drill holes up to 10 mm in diameter in plastics and metals, wind the coil of a transformer or inductor, sharpen cutting tools, polish the part to a shine, etc.

The creation of its own agricultural base will provide the country with additional sources of food and localize agricultural production.
The researchers note that there are a number of different crops that are very difficult or impossible to grow in the UAE. These are, for example, rice and wheat. They need a lot of water and moisture to get a good harvest. The soil will allow natural resources to be controlled and used in accordance with crop growing technologies, as well as better retain moisture compared to the soils that are in the UAE.
