Reflex radio receivers are called, in the circuit of which some cascades simultaneously perform high-frequency and low-frequency functions. This radio receiver is designed to receive the signal of any one radio station operating in the medium wave band.

The circuit diagram of the receiver is shown in the figure.

Reflex receiver with low voltage supply

The input oscillatory circuit LI, C1 is tuned to resonance with the frequency of the received signal by selecting the capacitance of the capacitor C1. The lower output of the coupling coil L2 is grounded at high frequency by capacitors C2 and C3. From the upper output, the signal goes to the base of the transistor VT1, used in the amplifying stage with an aperiodic load - resistor R2. Resistor R3 provides DC transistor mode. The amplified signal from the VT1 collector is fed directly to the base of the VT2 transistor, on which a resonant amplifier is assembled with an oscillatory circuit L3, C5 in the collector circuit, also tuned to the signal frequency by selecting the capacitor capacitance. From the coupling coil L4, the radio frequency signal is fed to the detector diode VD1, from the load of which R3, the detected signal through the capacitor C2 is fed back to the base of the transistor VT1. Capacitor C3 diverts the high frequency component of the detected signal to ground.

For a low-frequency signal, the cascade on the transistor VT1 is an amplifier of the audio signal, which is again fed from the collector to the base of the transistor VT2, which is connected according to the common collector circuit, since the L3 coil for low frequency is a short circuit. The BF1 phone is included in the emitter circuit.

The coil of the magnetic antenna L1 is wound with a PEV-1 wire with a diameter of 0,1 mm and contains 75 turns. The communication coil L2 of 6 turns of the same wire is wound over the winding LL. The magnetic antenna rod is made of 600НН grade ferrite with a diameter of 8 and a length of 60 mm. Coils L3 and L4 are wound on a ferrite ring of the same brand with an outer diameter of 7 mm. L3 contains 75, and L4 - 60 turns of PEV-1 wire with a diameter of 0,1 mm. As BF1, a small-sized telephone of the TM-2M type is used.

The receiver is powered by a single 316 galvanic cell with a voltage of 1,5 V and a current consumption of 1,5 mA. Such a small current is enough for continuous operation of the receiver for 200 hours.

Artificial leather for touch emulation 15.04.2024

In a modern technology world where distance is becoming increasingly commonplace, maintaining connection and a sense of closeness is important. Recent developments in artificial skin by German scientists from Saarland University represent a new era in virtual interactions. German researchers from Saarland University have developed ultra-thin films that can transmit the sensation of touch over a distance. This cutting-edge technology provides new opportunities for virtual communication, especially for those who find themselves far from their loved ones. The ultra-thin films developed by the researchers, just 50 micrometers thick, can be integrated into textiles and worn like a second skin. These films act as sensors that recognize tactile signals from mom or dad, and as actuators that transmit these movements to the baby. Parents' touch to the fabric activates sensors that react to pressure and deform the ultra-thin film. This ... >>

Petgugu Global cat litter 15.04.2024

Taking care of pets can often be a challenge, especially when it comes to keeping your home clean. A new interesting solution from the Petgugu Global startup has been presented, which will make life easier for cat owners and help them keep their home perfectly clean and tidy. Startup Petgugu Global has unveiled a unique cat toilet that can automatically flush feces, keeping your home clean and fresh. This innovative device is equipped with various smart sensors that monitor your pet's toilet activity and activate to automatically clean after use. The device connects to the sewer system and ensures efficient waste removal without the need for intervention from the owner. Additionally, the toilet has a large flushable storage capacity, making it ideal for multi-cat households. The Petgugu cat litter bowl is designed for use with water-soluble litters and offers a range of additional ... >>

The attractiveness of caring men 14.04.2024

The stereotype that women prefer "bad boys" has long been widespread. However, recent research conducted by British scientists from Monash University offers a new perspective on this issue. They looked at how women responded to men's emotional responsibility and willingness to help others. The study's findings could change our understanding of what makes men attractive to women. A study conducted by scientists from Monash University leads to new findings about men's attractiveness to women. In the experiment, women were shown photographs of men with brief stories about their behavior in various situations, including their reaction to an encounter with a homeless person. Some of the men ignored the homeless man, while others helped him, such as buying him food. A study found that men who showed empathy and kindness were more attractive to women compared to men who showed empathy and kindness. ... >>

NASA to pay 18000 euros for two months in bed 03.06.2023

The European Space Agency is conducting a new experience. Participants need to spend two months lying down. For this they will pay 18 thousand euros.

The idea of getting paid to stay in bed for two months may seem too good to be true. But this is exactly what the European Space Agency (ESA) proposes. They conduct an experiment with 12 volunteers who, as part of a new study, are in beds tilted 88 degrees below the horizontal for 6 days with their legs up.

Among the challenges for volunteers are also: eating, showering, toileting, riding special bicycles (located at the bottom of the bed), medical tests - all in the supine position throughout the study. Participants in the experiment will receive 18 euros each.

Everything is simple - for astronauts. ESA hopes that the findings will help explore potential countermeasures to the changes that the human body is undergoing in space. Now 12 male volunteers aged 20-45 are taking part in the study. It runs from April to July 2023. The next one will be held from January to April 2024.

Scientists also believe that the results of the study can also be useful for developing better treatments for the elderly and patients with diseases of the musculoskeletal system and osteoporosis.
