In my short article, I want to share with our OMs the work that I have been doing for 3 months. I have observed two
stations NU WIZ and EF 8 RSB. Observations were made in the evening and compared with how the temperature (t) and barometric pressure (d) changed.
During the first month of observations, i.e., for October 1929, I received the following results. The audibility was almost constant, only WIZ was audible the weaker the higher the barometer rose.
Characteristically, in October WIZ was heard 2 points louder than EF 8 RSB (see Chart #1 for October).
In November the picture changes. The pressure drops sharply, and the audibility of EF 8 RSB increases sharply and rises from R-2 to R-7.
Further, the pressure rises again and QRK EF 8 RSB starts to fall again; in the last days of November, the audibility ranges from R-4 to R-5. As for station WIZ, the phenomenon is reversed: at the moment when QRK EF 8 RSB reaches R-7, QRK WIZ drops from R-5 to R-4. Further, QRK WIZ starts to rise again, and QRK EF 8 RSB falls.
In December, a very beautiful schedule is obtained; in December, the pressure rises sharply, and the temperature drops. At the moment when the pressure has risen, QRK EF 8 RSB begins to rise, i.e. the phenomenon is completely opposite to the last month. But I explain this by the fact that the temperature fell far below zero.
During this period such dx's as Fr, Au-8, etc. were well audible, as for QRK NU WIZ, his QRK also rose to R-5.

Artificial leather for touch emulation
15.04.2024
In a modern technology world where distance is becoming increasingly commonplace, maintaining connection and a sense of closeness is important. Recent developments in artificial skin by German scientists from Saarland University represent a new era in virtual interactions. German researchers from Saarland University have developed ultra-thin films that can transmit the sensation of touch over a distance. This cutting-edge technology provides new opportunities for virtual communication, especially for those who find themselves far from their loved ones. The ultra-thin films developed by the researchers, just 50 micrometers thick, can be integrated into textiles and worn like a second skin. These films act as sensors that recognize tactile signals from mom or dad, and as actuators that transmit these movements to the baby. Parents' touch to the fabric activates sensors that react to pressure and deform the ultra-thin film. This ... >>
Petgugu Global cat litter
15.04.2024
Taking care of pets can often be a challenge, especially when it comes to keeping your home clean. A new interesting solution from the Petgugu Global startup has been presented, which will make life easier for cat owners and help them keep their home perfectly clean and tidy. Startup Petgugu Global has unveiled a unique cat toilet that can automatically flush feces, keeping your home clean and fresh. This innovative device is equipped with various smart sensors that monitor your pet's toilet activity and activate to automatically clean after use. The device connects to the sewer system and ensures efficient waste removal without the need for intervention from the owner. Additionally, the toilet has a large flushable storage capacity, making it ideal for multi-cat households. The Petgugu cat litter bowl is designed for use with water-soluble litters and offers a range of additional ... >>
The attractiveness of caring men
14.04.2024
The stereotype that women prefer "bad boys" has long been widespread. However, recent research conducted by British scientists from Monash University offers a new perspective on this issue. They looked at how women responded to men's emotional responsibility and willingness to help others. The study's findings could change our understanding of what makes men attractive to women. A study conducted by scientists from Monash University leads to new findings about men's attractiveness to women. In the experiment, women were shown photographs of men with brief stories about their behavior in various situations, including their reaction to an encounter with a homeless person. Some of the men ignored the homeless man, while others helped him, such as buying him food. A study found that men who showed empathy and kindness were more attractive to women compared to men who showed empathy and kindness. ... >>
Random news from the Archive China begins research into 5G communications
16.01.2016
The Ministry of Industry and Information Technology of China has announced the start of research into fifth generation mobile networks (5G). Currently, the project is at an experimental stage: it will last three years - from 2016 to 2018. After that, the pilot operation of new generation networks will begin.
Participants of the telecommunications market are planning to demonstrate the capabilities of 5G services at the upcoming Winter Olympic Games, which will be held in February 2018 in Pyeongchang, the Republic of Korea.
It is assumed that the first commercial 5G networks will start working, including in China, approximately in 2020. They have a maximum data transfer rate of 20 Gbps.
Recently, the Japanese corporation NTT DOCOMO announced the first successful test of a 5G network in a commercial building. Testing was carried out at the Roppongi Hills high-rise complex in Tokyo. The signal was transmitted using millimeter waves in the 70 GHz band, and the communication channel capacity exceeded 2 Gbps.
Giants such as Nokia Networks, Samsung, Ericsson, Fujitsu, Huawei and others are involved in the development of 5G technologies.
