The types of explosion protection of electrical equipment in the explosion protection marking are indicated by the same letters as according to PIVRE OAA.684.058-67 (see Appendix 2, clause 2).

The marking for explosion protection of electrical equipment in the following sequence includes:

a) designation of the type of explosion protection;

b) designation of the highest category of explosive mixture for which the electrical equipment is explosion-proof (according to Table A1.1), if the explosion protection of electrical equipment or its individual parts is provided by an explosion-proof enclosure; for electrical equipment with other types of explosion protection, which is explosion-proof for explosive mixtures of all categories, the number 0 is put instead of the designation of the explosive mixture category;

c) designation of the highest group of explosive mixture for which the electrical equipment is explosion-proof (according to Table A1.3).

For electrical equipment with protection type "e" (increased reliability against explosion) with sparking parts enclosed in a sheath filled with oil or purged under excessive pressure, instead of the number 0, the designation of the corresponding type of explosion protection is put: M or P.

For electrical equipment with the type of protection "intrinsically safe electrical circuit", the name of the combustible substance on which it was tested is indicated. The category and group designation for such electrical equipment is not affixed.

Examples of marking explosion-proof electrical equipment according to PIVE are given in Table. P3.1.

The level of "electrical equipment of increased reliability against explosion" includes electrical equipment that has the letter H in the explosion protection marking, as well as the number 2 before the letter I, for example:

MNB, NOG, H2A, NPA, NOA, , etc.

Electrical equipment with other explosion protection markings made according to PIVE should be classified as "explosion-proof electrical equipment".

Table A3.1. Examples of marking of explosion-proof electrical equipment according to PIVE

Type of explosion protection of electrical equipment Category and group of explosive mixture for which electrical equipment is intended Explosion protection marking
Flameproof shell 1st category, group A V1A
1st-3rd category, groups A, B and D V3G
All categories, group A V4A
Oil filled shell and flameproof shell 1st-3rd category, group A M3A

Type "e" protection All categories, groups A, B and D H0G
Type "e" protection and flameproof enclosure 1st and 2nd categories, group A H2A
Protection type "e" and filling or purging the enclosure under positive pressure All categories and groups Nap
Protection type "e" and oil filling of the shell All categories and groups NMD
Type "e" protection and intrinsically safe circuit All categories, group A H0A
Filling or purging the shell under positive pressure All categories and groups 110D
Intrinsically safe electrical circuit and flameproof enclosure 1-3 categories, groups A, B and D

The world's tallest astronomical observatory opened 04.05.2024

Exploring space and its mysteries is a task that attracts the attention of astronomers from all over the world. In the fresh air of the high mountains, far from city light pollution, the stars and planets reveal their secrets with greater clarity. A new page is opening in the history of astronomy with the opening of the world's highest astronomical observatory - the Atacama Observatory of the University of Tokyo. The Atacama Observatory, located at an altitude of 5640 meters above sea level, opens up new opportunities for astronomers in the study of space. This site has become the highest location for a ground-based telescope, providing researchers with a unique tool for studying infrared waves in the Universe. Although the high altitude location provides clearer skies and less interference from the atmosphere, building an observatory on a high mountain poses enormous difficulties and challenges. However, despite the difficulties, the new observatory opens up broad research prospects for astronomers. ... >>

Controlling objects using air currents 04.05.2024

The development of robotics continues to open up new prospects for us in the field of automation and control of various objects. Recently, Finnish scientists presented an innovative approach to controlling humanoid robots using air currents. This method promises to revolutionize the way objects are manipulated and open new horizons in the field of robotics. The idea of controlling objects using air currents is not new, but until recently, implementing such concepts remained a challenge. Finnish researchers have developed an innovative method that allows robots to manipulate objects using special air jets as "air fingers". The air flow control algorithm, developed by a team of specialists, is based on a thorough study of the movement of objects in the air flow. The air jet control system, carried out using special motors, allows you to direct objects without resorting to physical ... >>

Purebred dogs get sick no more often than purebred dogs 03.05.2024

Caring for the health of our pets is an important aspect of the life of every dog owner. However, there is a common assumption that purebred dogs are more susceptible to diseases compared to mixed dogs. New research led by researchers at the Texas School of Veterinary Medicine and Biomedical Sciences brings new perspective to this question. A study conducted by the Dog Aging Project (DAP) of more than 27 companion dogs found that purebred and mixed dogs were generally equally likely to experience various diseases. Although some breeds may be more susceptible to certain diseases, the overall diagnosis rate is virtually the same between both groups. The Dog Aging Project's chief veterinarian, Dr. Keith Creevy, notes that there are several well-known diseases that are more common in certain breeds of dogs, which supports the notion that purebred dogs are more susceptible to disease. ... >>

Buddy - smart dog collar 24.08.2015

There are quite a few collars on the market that help owners keep track of their pets, but Buddy combines the functionality of several devices at once.

Buddy will not only allow you to set different lighting options, the collar is equipped with a GPS module for transmitting information about the location of the dog (if the pet leaves the zone provided for walking, a corresponding notification will be sent to the owner immediately), and a Bluetooth module through which various information is transmitted to Android or iOS smartphone (Apple Watch also supported).

In addition, the collar has an OLED display that shows body temperature, the number of calories consumed per day and the duration of exercise. The device also provides an accelerometer, a light sensor, a waterproof case and a rechargeable battery that will provide the collar with up to 14 days of operation without recharging.

Buddy is available in various models, the most expensive of them is offered for 300 USD.
