Apparently, the malfunction is not uncommon for this model, since it occurred after a year of operation of the new TV. He stopped turning on. Even with a cursory examination of the power module board, the name of which is MODEL: PLDF-L103B, the place of heating of the varnish was noticeable in the area of \u601b\u602binstallation of transistors Q3, Q60, designated L3NM60N. Apparently, these are n-channel STL600NM2,2N field-effect transistors (maximum drain-source voltage - XNUMX V, maximum drain current - XNUMX A). Neither the scheme of the TV, nor, at least, the scheme of its power supply module, could be found, so the section of the circuit where the faulty elements were identified was compiled from the printed circuit board of the power supply module.

A fragment of the circuit is shown in fig. 1. Apparently, these are the output circuits of the power factor corrector assembled on the FAN7930BG chip (read more about the power factor corrector in the article "Why is power factor correction necessary?", Published in "Radio" No. 1, 2006, p. 30. - Note ed.). The appearance of the power module board section from the side of mounting large elements is shown in fig. 2, and the view from the side of the printed conductors - in fig. 3.

As a result of checking the elements, the following was revealed: the fusible insert F100 5A 250V at the mains voltage input failed, the Q601 and Q603 transistors were broken, the latter had the designation 2F on the case - this is the FMMT2907A transistor. In addition, the resistors R612 (100 Ohm), R608 (10 kOhm) burned out, as well as the F fuse for surface mounting, connected between the source terminals of transistors Q601, Q602, whose designation on the printed circuit board, unfortunately, could not be read. The FAN7930BG chip, oddly enough, turned out to be serviceable. Instead of the STL3NM60N field effect transistor, a commercially available P3NK90ZF transistor was installed. After replacing all the faulty elements, the TV started working, but the transistors Q601, Q602 got too hot, however, none of the numerous protections and fuses worked.

After a more thorough check, already of all the elements of the power module, it was found that the D603 MUR460AX diode was also broken, the failure of which, apparently, provoked all the other malfunctions. After replacing the diode with a MUR460 without the letters AX, the power module worked fine. So far, there are no complaints about the operation of the TV.

Machine for thinning flowers in gardens 02.05.2024

In modern agriculture, technological progress is developing aimed at increasing the efficiency of plant care processes. The innovative Florix flower thinning machine was presented in Italy, designed to optimize the harvesting stage. This tool is equipped with mobile arms, allowing it to be easily adapted to the needs of the garden. The operator can adjust the speed of the thin wires by controlling them from the tractor cab using a joystick. This approach significantly increases the efficiency of the flower thinning process, providing the possibility of individual adjustment to the specific conditions of the garden, as well as the variety and type of fruit grown in it. After testing the Florix machine for two years on various types of fruit, the results were very encouraging. Farmers such as Filiberto Montanari, who has used a Florix machine for several years, have reported a significant reduction in the time and labor required to thin flowers. ... >>

Advanced Infrared Microscope 02.05.2024

Microscopes play an important role in scientific research, allowing scientists to delve into structures and processes invisible to the eye. However, various microscopy methods have their limitations, and among them was the limitation of resolution when using the infrared range. But the latest achievements of Japanese researchers from the University of Tokyo open up new prospects for studying the microworld. Scientists from the University of Tokyo have unveiled a new microscope that will revolutionize the capabilities of infrared microscopy. This advanced instrument allows you to see the internal structures of living bacteria with amazing clarity on the nanometer scale. Typically, mid-infrared microscopes are limited by low resolution, but the latest development from Japanese researchers overcomes these limitations. According to scientists, the developed microscope allows creating images with a resolution of up to 120 nanometers, which is 30 times higher than the resolution of traditional microscopes. ... >>

Air trap for insects 01.05.2024

Agriculture is one of the key sectors of the economy, and pest control is an integral part of this process. A team of scientists from the Indian Council of Agricultural Research-Central Potato Research Institute (ICAR-CPRI), Shimla, has come up with an innovative solution to this problem - a wind-powered insect air trap. This device addresses the shortcomings of traditional pest control methods by providing real-time insect population data. The trap is powered entirely by wind energy, making it an environmentally friendly solution that requires no power. Its unique design allows monitoring of both harmful and beneficial insects, providing a complete overview of the population in any agricultural area. “By assessing target pests at the right time, we can take necessary measures to control both pests and diseases,” says Kapil ... >>

RCYL bicycle made from recycled plastic 29.04.2024

The issue of environmental sustainability is becoming increasingly relevant in the world of modern technology. In this context, the advent of a bicycle made from recycled plastic is gaining attention as an effective solution to the problem of environmental pollution.

The idea for a bicycle made from recycled plastic came from the head of the German company igus, Frank Blaise, as a result of observing the limited lifespan of rental bicycles in Florida.

Although the original prototype bike had a plastic frame, wheels, cranks and bearings, some components were still made of metal. Since then, the team has been looking for ways to increase the proportion of plastic parts in the design. The now renamed RCYL bike is made up of 92% plastic, with half of its material coming from recycled plastic waste, including used fishing nets.

Durable plastic ball bearings do not require lubrication. Non-plastic components of a bicycle include disc brakes, tires, gear belts, lighting, bolts and other parts.

The first production model weighs 17 kg and costs 1200 euros. This price does not include the motor and battery, but igus:bike plans to release an electric bike as well.

The RCYL bicycle represents an important step in the development of environmentally friendly transport. The use of recycled plastic in its design opens up new perspectives in the fight against environmental pollution and promotes a more responsible approach to vehicle production.
