6.3.1. For outdoor lighting, any light source can be used (see clause 6.1.11).

For security lighting of the territories of enterprises, the use of discharge lamps is not allowed in cases where security lighting is not normally turned on and turns on automatically from the action of a security alarm.

6.3.2. Outdoor lighting fixtures (lamps, spotlights) can be installed on poles specially designed for such lighting, as well as on poles of overhead lines up to 1 kV, poles of the contact network of electrified urban transport of all types of currents up to 600 V, walls and ceilings of buildings and structures, masts (including masts of free-standing lightning rods), technological overpasses, platforms for technological installations and chimneys, parapets and fences of bridges and transport overpasses, on metal, reinforced concrete and other structures of buildings and structures, regardless of the mark of their location, can be suspended on cables , fixed on the walls of buildings and supports, as well as installed at ground level and below.

6.3.3. Installation of outdoor lighting fixtures on poles of overhead lines up to 1 kV should be carried out:

1. When servicing lamps from a telescopic tower with an insulating link, as a rule, above the wires of the overhead line or at the level of the lower wires of the overhead line when placing fixtures and wires of the overhead line on different sides of the support. The horizontal distance from the luminaire to the nearest overhead line wire must be at least 0,6 m.

2. When servicing lamps in other ways - below the wires of the overhead line. The vertical distance from the luminaire to the overhead line wire (in the light) should be at least 0,2 m, the horizontal distance from the luminaire to the support (in the light) should be no more than 0,4 m.

6.3.4. When hanging luminaires on cables, measures should be taken to prevent swaying of luminaires from the effects of wind.

6.3.5. Above the carriageway of streets, roads and squares, lamps should be installed at a height of at least 6,5 m.

When installing lamps above the contact network of a tram, the installation height of lamps must be at least 8 m to the rail head. When the fixtures are located above the contact network of the trolleybus - at least 9 m from the level of the carriageway. The vertical distance from the wires of the street lighting lines to the crossbars of the contact network or to the illumination garlands suspended from the crossbars must be at least 0,5 m.

6.3.6. Above boulevards and pedestrian roads, lamps should be installed at a height of at least 3 m.

The smallest installation height of lighting devices for lighting lawns and facades of buildings and structures and for decorative lighting is not limited, subject to the requirements of clause 6.1.15.

The installation of lighting fixtures in pits below ground level is allowed if there are drainage or other similar devices to remove water from the pits.

6.3.7. To illuminate transport interchanges, urban and other areas, lamps can be installed on supports 20 m or more high, provided that their maintenance is ensured (for example, lowering lamps, arranging platforms, using towers, etc.).

It is allowed to place lamps in the parapets and fences of bridges and overpasses made of non-combustible materials at a height of 0,9-1,3 m above the roadway, provided that they are protected from touching the current-carrying parts of the lamps.

6.3.8. Supports of lighting installations for squares, streets, roads should be located at a distance of at least 1 m from the front face of the side stone to the outer surface of the base of the support on main streets and roads with heavy traffic and at least 0,6 m on other streets, roads and squares. This distance is allowed to be reduced to 0,3 m, provided there are no public transport routes and trucks. In the absence of a side stone, the distance from the edge of the carriageway to the outer surface of the support base must be at least 1,75 m.

On the territories of industrial enterprises, the distance from the outdoor lighting pole to the roadway is recommended to be at least 1 m. It is allowed to reduce this distance to 0,6 m.

6.3.9. Lighting poles for streets and roads with dividing strips 4 m wide or more can be installed in the center of the dividing strips.

6.3.10. On streets and roads with ditches, it is allowed to install supports behind the ditches, if the distance from the support to the nearest border of the carriageway does not exceed 4 m.

The support should not be located between the fire hydrant and the roadway.

6.3.11. Supports at the intersections and junctions of streets and roads are recommended to be installed at a distance of at least 1,5 m from the beginning of the curvature of the sidewalks, without violating the installation line of the supports.

6.3.12. Outdoor lighting poles on engineering structures (bridges, overpasses, transport overpasses, etc.) should be installed in the range of fences in steel frames or on flanges attached to the bearing elements of the engineering structure.

6.3.13. Supports for lighting fixtures for alleys and pedestrian roads should be located outside the pedestrian part.

6.3.14. Luminaires on streets and roads with row planting of trees should be installed outside the crowns of trees on elongated brackets facing the carriageway of the street, or cable suspension of luminaires should be used.

The world's tallest astronomical observatory opened 04.05.2024

Exploring space and its mysteries is a task that attracts the attention of astronomers from all over the world. In the fresh air of the high mountains, far from city light pollution, the stars and planets reveal their secrets with greater clarity. A new page is opening in the history of astronomy with the opening of the world's highest astronomical observatory - the Atacama Observatory of the University of Tokyo. The Atacama Observatory, located at an altitude of 5640 meters above sea level, opens up new opportunities for astronomers in the study of space. This site has become the highest location for a ground-based telescope, providing researchers with a unique tool for studying infrared waves in the Universe. Although the high altitude location provides clearer skies and less interference from the atmosphere, building an observatory on a high mountain poses enormous difficulties and challenges. However, despite the difficulties, the new observatory opens up broad research prospects for astronomers. ... >>

Controlling objects using air currents 04.05.2024

The development of robotics continues to open up new prospects for us in the field of automation and control of various objects. Recently, Finnish scientists presented an innovative approach to controlling humanoid robots using air currents. This method promises to revolutionize the way objects are manipulated and open new horizons in the field of robotics. The idea of controlling objects using air currents is not new, but until recently, implementing such concepts remained a challenge. Finnish researchers have developed an innovative method that allows robots to manipulate objects using special air jets as "air fingers". The air flow control algorithm, developed by a team of specialists, is based on a thorough study of the movement of objects in the air flow. The air jet control system, carried out using special motors, allows you to direct objects without resorting to physical ... >>

Purebred dogs get sick no more often than purebred dogs 03.05.2024

Caring for the health of our pets is an important aspect of the life of every dog owner. However, there is a common assumption that purebred dogs are more susceptible to diseases compared to mixed dogs. New research led by researchers at the Texas School of Veterinary Medicine and Biomedical Sciences brings new perspective to this question. A study conducted by the Dog Aging Project (DAP) of more than 27 companion dogs found that purebred and mixed dogs were generally equally likely to experience various diseases. Although some breeds may be more susceptible to certain diseases, the overall diagnosis rate is virtually the same between both groups. The Dog Aging Project's chief veterinarian, Dr. Keith Creevy, notes that there are several well-known diseases that are more common in certain breeds of dogs, which supports the notion that purebred dogs are more susceptible to disease. ... >>
