1.8.29. 1. Measurement of the insulation resistance of the transformer windings of the power unit.

The insulation resistance of 380/220 V windings with circuits connected to them must be at least 1 MΩ.

The insulation resistance of high voltage windings should not be lower than 50 MΩ at a temperature of 25 ºС or should not be less than 70% of the value specified in the unit's passport.

2. Testing the insulation of 380/220 V circuits of the power supply unit.

The insulation test is carried out with a voltage of 2 kV at a frequency of 50 Hz for 1 min. Elements operating at a voltage of 60 V and below must be disconnected.

3. Measuring the insulation resistance of a high voltage cable.

Insulation resistance, measured with a megaohmmeter for a voltage of 2500 V, should not be less than 10 MΩ.

4. High voltage cable insulation test.

The test is carried out with a voltage of 75 kV DC for 30 minutes.

5. Testing of transformer oil.

Maximum allowable values of oil breakdown voltage: before filling - 40 kV, after - 35 kV. The oil must not contain traces of water.

6. Checking the health of the grounding of equipment elements.

The reliability of fastening the grounding conductors to the grounding conductor and the following items of equipment is checked: collecting electrodes, positive pole of the power unit, electrostatic precipitator housing, transformer and electric motor housings, switch base, panel and control cabinet frames, high voltage cable casings, manhole hatches, insulator box doors, cable boxes, insulator flanges and other metal structures according to the project.

7. Checking the resistance of grounding devices.

The resistance of the ground conductor should not exceed 4 ohms, and the resistance of the grounding conductors (between the ground loop and the piece of equipment to be grounded) should not exceed 0,1 ohms.

8. Removal of current-voltage characteristics.

The volt-ampere characteristics of the electrostatic precipitator (dependence of the corona current of the fields on the applied voltage) are taken in air and flue gas according to the instructions in Table. 1.8.26.

Table 1.8.26. Guidelines for characterization of electrostatic precipitators

Test object The procedure for taking current-voltage characteristics Requirements for test results
1. Every field in the air The current-voltage characteristic is taken with a smooth increase in voltage at intervals of changing the current load of 5-10% of the nominal value to the pre-breakdown level. It is removed when the mechanisms for shaking the electrodes and smoke exhausters are included in continuous operation. The breakdown voltage on the electrodes must be at least 40 kV at the rated corona current for 15 min.
2. All fields of electrostatic precipitator in the air Also The characteristics taken at the beginning and end of the 24 h test shall not differ from each other by more than 10%
3. All fields of flue gas electrostatic precipitator The current-voltage characteristic is taken with a smooth increase in voltage to the pre-breakdown level (ascending branch) with intervals of current load change of 5-10% of the nominal value and with a smooth decrease in voltage (descending branch) with the same intervals of current load. It is removed at the rated steam load of the boiler and the mechanisms for shaking the electrodes included in continuous operation. The characteristics taken at the beginning and end of the 72 h test shall not differ from each other by more than 10%

Machine for thinning flowers in gardens 02.05.2024

In modern agriculture, technological progress is developing aimed at increasing the efficiency of plant care processes. The innovative Florix flower thinning machine was presented in Italy, designed to optimize the harvesting stage. This tool is equipped with mobile arms, allowing it to be easily adapted to the needs of the garden. The operator can adjust the speed of the thin wires by controlling them from the tractor cab using a joystick. This approach significantly increases the efficiency of the flower thinning process, providing the possibility of individual adjustment to the specific conditions of the garden, as well as the variety and type of fruit grown in it. After testing the Florix machine for two years on various types of fruit, the results were very encouraging. Farmers such as Filiberto Montanari, who has used a Florix machine for several years, have reported a significant reduction in the time and labor required to thin flowers. ... >>

Advanced Infrared Microscope 02.05.2024

Microscopes play an important role in scientific research, allowing scientists to delve into structures and processes invisible to the eye. However, various microscopy methods have their limitations, and among them was the limitation of resolution when using the infrared range. But the latest achievements of Japanese researchers from the University of Tokyo open up new prospects for studying the microworld. Scientists from the University of Tokyo have unveiled a new microscope that will revolutionize the capabilities of infrared microscopy. This advanced instrument allows you to see the internal structures of living bacteria with amazing clarity on the nanometer scale. Typically, mid-infrared microscopes are limited by low resolution, but the latest development from Japanese researchers overcomes these limitations. According to scientists, the developed microscope allows creating images with a resolution of up to 120 nanometers, which is 30 times higher than the resolution of traditional microscopes. ... >>

Air trap for insects 01.05.2024

Agriculture is one of the key sectors of the economy, and pest control is an integral part of this process. A team of scientists from the Indian Council of Agricultural Research-Central Potato Research Institute (ICAR-CPRI), Shimla, has come up with an innovative solution to this problem - a wind-powered insect air trap. This device addresses the shortcomings of traditional pest control methods by providing real-time insect population data. The trap is powered entirely by wind energy, making it an environmentally friendly solution that requires no power. Its unique design allows monitoring of both harmful and beneficial insects, providing a complete overview of the population in any agricultural area. “By assessing target pests at the right time, we can take necessary measures to control both pests and diseases,” says Kapil ... >>

DDR4 memory 24.06.2014

In Japan, sets of DDR4 RAM have appeared on sale, the benefits of which will be the first to be appreciated by future owners of computers based on Intel Haswell-E processors and motherboards based on the Intel X99 chipset.

DDR4 specifications provide performance from 1,6 to 3,2 gigatransactions per second per pin. The supply voltage is 1,2 V, and the bandwidth reaches 34,1 GB / s. Compared to DDR3, in addition to speed, increased reliability.

DDR4 modules were demonstrated at the recent Computex 2014, and now the Japanese store Akiba PC Hotline has started accepting orders for them. DDR4-2133 products are manufactured by SanMax based on SKHynix microchips. The SMD4-U16G27H-21P-D set of two 8 GB modules each will cost $350, while the SMD4-U32G28H-21P-Q set of four 8 GB modules is priced at $685. The modules have 288 pins and operate at 1,2V.

It should be noted that the Intel Haswell-E processors and the X99 chipset will reportedly debut on September 14th. Therefore, those who decide to buy DDR4 RAM modules now will have to wait at least until the end of the third quarter to start their practical use.
