1.6.13. Power measurement should be carried out in circuits:

1) generators - active and reactive power.

When installed on generators with a capacity of 100 MW or more, panel indicating instruments, their accuracy class must be no worse than 1,0.

At power plants with a capacity of 200 MW or more, the total active power must also be measured.

It is recommended to measure the total active power of power plants with a capacity of less than 200 MW if it is necessary to automatically transfer this parameter to a higher level of operational management;

2) capacitor banks with a capacity of 25 MVAr or more and synchronous compensators - reactive power;

3) transformers and lines supplying MV with a voltage of 6 kV and above thermal power plants - active power;

4) step-up two-winding transformers of power plants - active and reactive power. In circuits of step-up three-winding transformers (or autotransformers using a low voltage winding), active and reactive power must be measured from the medium and low voltage side.

For a transformer operating in a block with a generator, the power measurement on the low voltage side should be made in the generator circuit;

5) step-down transformers 220 kV and above - active and reactive, voltage 110-150 kV - active power.

In the circuits of step-down two-winding transformers, power measurement should be carried out from the low voltage side, and in the circuits of step-down three-winding transformers, from the side of medium and low voltages.

At 110 - 220 kV substations without circuit breakers on the higher voltage side, power measurement may not be performed. At the same time, places should be provided for connecting control indicating or recording devices;

6) lines with a voltage of 110 kV and above with two-way power supply, as well as bypass switches - active and reactive power;

7) at other elements of substations, where measurements of active and reactive power flows are necessary for periodic monitoring of network modes, the possibility of connecting control portable devices should be provided.

1.6.14. When installing panel indicating devices in circuits in which the direction of power can change, these devices must have a two-sided scale.

1.6.15. Registration is required:

1) active power of turbogenerators (with a capacity of 60 MW or more);

2) the total capacity of power plants (with a capacity of 200 MW or more).

The world's tallest astronomical observatory opened 04.05.2024

Exploring space and its mysteries is a task that attracts the attention of astronomers from all over the world. In the fresh air of the high mountains, far from city light pollution, the stars and planets reveal their secrets with greater clarity. A new page is opening in the history of astronomy with the opening of the world's highest astronomical observatory - the Atacama Observatory of the University of Tokyo. The Atacama Observatory, located at an altitude of 5640 meters above sea level, opens up new opportunities for astronomers in the study of space. This site has become the highest location for a ground-based telescope, providing researchers with a unique tool for studying infrared waves in the Universe. Although the high altitude location provides clearer skies and less interference from the atmosphere, building an observatory on a high mountain poses enormous difficulties and challenges. However, despite the difficulties, the new observatory opens up broad research prospects for astronomers. ... >>

Controlling objects using air currents 04.05.2024

The development of robotics continues to open up new prospects for us in the field of automation and control of various objects. Recently, Finnish scientists presented an innovative approach to controlling humanoid robots using air currents. This method promises to revolutionize the way objects are manipulated and open new horizons in the field of robotics. The idea of controlling objects using air currents is not new, but until recently, implementing such concepts remained a challenge. Finnish researchers have developed an innovative method that allows robots to manipulate objects using special air jets as "air fingers". The air flow control algorithm, developed by a team of specialists, is based on a thorough study of the movement of objects in the air flow. The air jet control system, carried out using special motors, allows you to direct objects without resorting to physical ... >>

Purebred dogs get sick no more often than purebred dogs 03.05.2024

Caring for the health of our pets is an important aspect of the life of every dog owner. However, there is a common assumption that purebred dogs are more susceptible to diseases compared to mixed dogs. New research led by researchers at the Texas School of Veterinary Medicine and Biomedical Sciences brings new perspective to this question. A study conducted by the Dog Aging Project (DAP) of more than 27 companion dogs found that purebred and mixed dogs were generally equally likely to experience various diseases. Although some breeds may be more susceptible to certain diseases, the overall diagnosis rate is virtually the same between both groups. The Dog Aging Project's chief veterinarian, Dr. Keith Creevy, notes that there are several well-known diseases that are more common in certain breeds of dogs, which supports the notion that purebred dogs are more susceptible to disease. ... >>

Subcutaneous chips with COVID-passport 31.12.2021

Several thousand Swedes have implanted implants under their skin in recent years, eliminating the need to constantly carry public transport tickets, a bank card, an electronic key or a business card. Recently, DSruptive Subdermals started using the chips as a COVID passport. This was reported by the agency AFP.

"A chip implant costs 100 euros. If you want to buy a more advanced version, for example, for tracking health indicators, it will probably cost twice as much. But a chip implant lasts 20-40 years," said Hannes Sjoblad, Managing Director DSruptive Subdermals.

Many "consider chips a scary technology," he says, but they should be treated as mere identification tags.

"They don't have a battery, they can't transmit on their own, they can't determine your location," Sjoblad said.

The chip consists of certified biocompatible glass, high-brightness lead-free LED, ultra-thin circuit board with NFC interface, EEPROM. Works with iOS and Android. The chip also has 2 KB of memory, a coil with an inductive ferrite core at a frequency of 13,56 MHz.

DSruptive Subdermals guarantees data retention for 50 years.
