1.4.19. Switches above 1 kV should be selected:

1) by breaking capacity, taking into account the parameters of the recovering voltage;

2) by making capacity. In this case, the generator circuit breakers installed on the side of the generator voltage are checked only for non-synchronous switching in antiphase conditions.

1.4.20. Fuses should be selected according to their breaking capacity. In this case, the effective value of the periodic component of the initial short-circuit current should be taken as the rated current without taking into account the current-limiting ability of the fuses.

1.4.21. Load break switches and short circuits should be selected according to the maximum permissible current that occurs when switching on a short circuit.

1.4.22. Separators and disconnectors do not need to be checked for short-circuit switching capacity. When using separators and disconnectors for disconnection - inclusion of unloaded lines, unloaded transformers or equalizing currents of parallel circuits, separators and disconnectors should be checked according to the mode of such disconnection - inclusion.
