The basis of this "hurdy-gurdy" is a tape drive mechanism from an old and long-term faulty cassette tape recorder. There is a flywheel with a capstan, and a DC electric motor with a permanent magnet - a rotor. We do not need a rotation speed stabilizer, so we remove it, leaving only a purely electric motor.

Only the rotation must be started smoothly so that there is no slipping, since at the initial stage the ionistor is charged, which leads to an increase in the load current of the motor-generator, and, as a result, the difficulty of rotating its rotor.

The stabilizer circuit can be done differently, but it is necessary that the stabilizer itself consume less current, as this reduces the operating time without twisting. Therefore, it is highly undesirable to use a conventional parametric stabilizer like an LED and a resistor.
