The stabilizer (Fig. 3.5) provides an adjustable voltage on the load from 15 to 38 V at a rated input voltage from the rectifier of 42 V. The load current is up to 3 A. The stabilization coefficient is at least 300, the amplitude of the output voltage ripple is not more than 5 mV.

Simple voltage regulator with short circuit protection, 15-38 volts 3 amps

The low output impedance is due to the presence of a current feedback circuit. The feedback voltage is removed from the resistor R7 and enters the base circuit of the transistor VT2.

The power transformer of the stabilizer with a power of about 100 watts. Transistor VT1 can be used types KT803A, KT808A. VT2 - any of the GT321 series. Transistor VT1 should be installed on a radiator capable of dissipating up to 70 W of thermal power. If, with a decrease in the output voltage, the input voltage from the rectifier is correspondingly reduced, the dimensions of the radiator can also be significantly reduced.

Artificial leather for touch emulation 15.04.2024

In a modern technology world where distance is becoming increasingly commonplace, maintaining connection and a sense of closeness is important. Recent developments in artificial skin by German scientists from Saarland University represent a new era in virtual interactions. German researchers from Saarland University have developed ultra-thin films that can transmit the sensation of touch over a distance. This cutting-edge technology provides new opportunities for virtual communication, especially for those who find themselves far from their loved ones. The ultra-thin films developed by the researchers, just 50 micrometers thick, can be integrated into textiles and worn like a second skin. These films act as sensors that recognize tactile signals from mom or dad, and as actuators that transmit these movements to the baby. Parents' touch to the fabric activates sensors that react to pressure and deform the ultra-thin film. This ... >>

Petgugu Global cat litter 15.04.2024

Taking care of pets can often be a challenge, especially when it comes to keeping your home clean. A new interesting solution from the Petgugu Global startup has been presented, which will make life easier for cat owners and help them keep their home perfectly clean and tidy. Startup Petgugu Global has unveiled a unique cat toilet that can automatically flush feces, keeping your home clean and fresh. This innovative device is equipped with various smart sensors that monitor your pet's toilet activity and activate to automatically clean after use. The device connects to the sewer system and ensures efficient waste removal without the need for intervention from the owner. Additionally, the toilet has a large flushable storage capacity, making it ideal for multi-cat households. The Petgugu cat litter bowl is designed for use with water-soluble litters and offers a range of additional ... >>

The attractiveness of caring men 14.04.2024

The stereotype that women prefer "bad boys" has long been widespread. However, recent research conducted by British scientists from Monash University offers a new perspective on this issue. They looked at how women responded to men's emotional responsibility and willingness to help others. The study's findings could change our understanding of what makes men attractive to women. A study conducted by scientists from Monash University leads to new findings about men's attractiveness to women. In the experiment, women were shown photographs of men with brief stories about their behavior in various situations, including their reaction to an encounter with a homeless person. Some of the men ignored the homeless man, while others helped him, such as buying him food. A study found that men who showed empathy and kindness were more attractive to women compared to men who showed empathy and kindness. ... >>

Microsoft Surface 2 and Microsoft Surface Pro 2 tablets 24.09.2013

Microsoft introduced the Surface 2 and Surface Pro 2 tablets, which are the development of the Surface RT and Surface Pro models, respectively. Surface 2 is based on ARM architecture, while Surface Pro 2 is based on x86 architecture.

The main innovations implemented in Surface Pro 2 include the use of an Intel Core i5 (Haswell) processor and Microsoft Windows 8.1. The tablet is equipped with a 10,6-inch screen, which, according to the manufacturer, is capable of displaying 50% more colors than its predecessor's screen. The screen resolution is 1920 x 1080 pixels.

Compared to Surface Pro, battery life has been improved by 75%. The device is configured with 4 GB of dual-channel DDR3-1600 memory and a 64 or 128 GB SSD, or 8 GB of dual-channel DDR3-1600 memory and a 256 or 512 GB SSD. The tablet is equipped with an 802.11 b/g/n Wi-Fi adapter, a USB 3.0 port, two USB 2.0 ports, and a mini-DisplayPort output that allows you to connect monitors up to 3840 x 2160 pixels. Surface Pro 2 prices start at $900.

The Surface 2 is similar in hardware to the Surface Pro 2, but is built on the Nvidia Tegra 4 SoC and runs Windows RT 8.1. The four Cortex-A15 cores on the Nvidia Tegra 4 SoC operate at 1,9GHz. The amount of RAM LPDDR3 is 2 GB, and flash memory - 32 or 64 GB. The tablet is equipped with cameras with a resolution of 5 and 3,5 megapixels.

An important feature of Surface 2 is the presence of Microsoft Office RT 2013. The 8,9 mm thick tablet weighs 676 grams and works without recharging up to 10 hours of video playback.
