Now on sale there are phones and set-top boxes with caller ID for every taste. However, some users are not satisfied with existing designs. We are talking about the owners of radiotelephones and subscribers of office mini-ATS. With this in mind, the Telesystems company has developed a prefix that communicates information about the number of the caller by voice over the telephone line.

The prefix is included in the telephone line break. When the caller ID system is triggered, the caller receives a ringback control signal, and the set-top box outputs a voice message about the caller's number. This message can be heard when you pick up the handset on any of the phones connected after the set-top box. Thus, from any telephone device (radio telephone, regular telephone, fax, etc.) connected after the set-top box, you can get information about the number of the caller.

Radiotelephone users will find it convenient to receive information there. where they are with the tube. When working with a mini-automatic telephone exchange, it is necessary to install a prefix on each city line. As a result, any internal subscriber will be able to receive information about the caller's number. The use of ordinary caller IDs as internal phones does not give the desired result, since in most cases it is not possible to coordinate the operation of a mini-PBX and a telephone with caller ID.

When there is an incoming call after picking up the handset (in the auto-pick up mode, the line is seized automatically after the specified number of rings) on any telephone or radiotelephone, the set-top box reports the number of the caller. If you want to talk to him, then you need to press the button on the phone, and when not, just hang up. While reporting the number, the caller hears a ring back tone (long beeps).

The set-top box has an internal non-volatile memory for 100 calls, where the caller's number, time and date of the call are stored. Management is carried out from the phone keypad.

The diagram of the device is shown in the figure. The basis of the set-top box is the PIC1C16 PIC73C2 controller from Microchip. The ZQ32 quartz resonator generates the main clock frequency, and the 768 Hz signal (set by ZQ1) is used to count the time and periodically "wake up" the controller from the "sleep" state. Voice messages are stored in ROM DD3. The ROM address generator is assembled on two shift registers (DD4, DD5). Chip non-volatile flash memory DD2 is used to store information in memory voiced.

Transistor VT1 implements a generator of a request signal and a ring back signal (SND). The signal from the telephone line for analyzing the ANI message is sent to the ADC of the controller (signal SIG). The use of the ADC made it possible to achieve a high probability of determining the number. The ringer sensor is assembled on resistors R13. R14. and the line status sensor - on R7, R8.

Key K2 opens when auto-raising (UP signal). Capacitor C5 serves to prevent the passage of a voice message to the caller (in this case, the key K1 is opened by the CUP signal). Through the transistor VT3, an audio signal (LSD) of a voice message about the number of the caller enters the line (pulse-width modulation is applied).

The set-top box is powered by a telephone line through a resistor R4 and from a buffer power supply (GB1) with a voltage of 4,5 V (three AA elements). It is assembled in a compact case measuring 100x60x35 mm.

PC controller firmware.

Artificial leather for touch emulation 15.04.2024

In a modern technology world where distance is becoming increasingly commonplace, maintaining connection and a sense of closeness is important. Recent developments in artificial skin by German scientists from Saarland University represent a new era in virtual interactions. German researchers from Saarland University have developed ultra-thin films that can transmit the sensation of touch over a distance. This cutting-edge technology provides new opportunities for virtual communication, especially for those who find themselves far from their loved ones. The ultra-thin films developed by the researchers, just 50 micrometers thick, can be integrated into textiles and worn like a second skin. These films act as sensors that recognize tactile signals from mom or dad, and as actuators that transmit these movements to the baby. Parents' touch to the fabric activates sensors that react to pressure and deform the ultra-thin film. This ... >>

Petgugu Global cat litter 15.04.2024

Taking care of pets can often be a challenge, especially when it comes to keeping your home clean. A new interesting solution from the Petgugu Global startup has been presented, which will make life easier for cat owners and help them keep their home perfectly clean and tidy. Startup Petgugu Global has unveiled a unique cat toilet that can automatically flush feces, keeping your home clean and fresh. This innovative device is equipped with various smart sensors that monitor your pet's toilet activity and activate to automatically clean after use. The device connects to the sewer system and ensures efficient waste removal without the need for intervention from the owner. Additionally, the toilet has a large flushable storage capacity, making it ideal for multi-cat households. The Petgugu cat litter bowl is designed for use with water-soluble litters and offers a range of additional ... >>

The attractiveness of caring men 14.04.2024

The stereotype that women prefer "bad boys" has long been widespread. However, recent research conducted by British scientists from Monash University offers a new perspective on this issue. They looked at how women responded to men's emotional responsibility and willingness to help others. The study's findings could change our understanding of what makes men attractive to women. A study conducted by scientists from Monash University leads to new findings about men's attractiveness to women. In the experiment, women were shown photographs of men with brief stories about their behavior in various situations, including their reaction to an encounter with a homeless person. Some of the men ignored the homeless man, while others helped him, such as buying him food. A study found that men who showed empathy and kindness were more attractive to women compared to men who showed empathy and kindness. ... >>

Mining platinum along the sides of the highway 04.12.2012

Geologist Hazel Pritchard from Cardiff University (UK) argues that it makes sense to collect dust on the sides of busy highways and city streets. The dust accumulates particles of platinum flying out of the exhaust pipes of cars. This precious metal is used in mufflers as a catalyst to clean exhaust gases. There is reason to dig in roadside ditches, where platinum is carried down by rain streams.

In an average platinum deposit, its concentration is 3-6 grams per ton of ore, and concentrations of up to two grams per ton are found in road dust. The price of platinum now fluctuates between $45 and $50 per gram.
