Schematic Features
The metal detector circuit shown in fig. 2.43, but, does not have any features, is simple and accessible for repetition even by novice radio amateurs.
As is often written in books and magazines, with proper installation and serviceable parts, it starts working right away.
Printed circuit board
The printed circuit board of the device is shown in fig. 2.43, b, it is made for SMD components, all parts are installed from the side of the foil, and drilling holes is not required.
Search coil manufacturing
The manufacture of a search coil requires high accuracy and care. Coils should be wound on special frames, which are made of a board with nails driven into it along the contour of the future coil. After winding and fastening the turns with threads, the coils must be placed in a plastic frame.
The frame for the coils (Fig. 2.43, c) can be made of two pieces of plexiglass 4 mm thick. From ABS plastic 1 mm thick, you need to make grooves for laying the coils and glue them to one of the bases. The transmitting coil of the metal detector must be wound with PEV 0,35 wire and contain 8 + 5 + 5 + 8 turns.
The receiving coil must be wound with PEV 0,27 wire and contain 24 + 24 turns. In the same place, inside the frame, the board on which the capacitors C11-C15 are located should also be installed. After the wound coils are laid in the frame, they need to be fixed at several points with hot glue. Then the coils can be connected to the main board of the device.
Setting up the metal detector
Capacitor C15 needs to set the minimum signal at the input of the receiving part. If this fails, then you should move the turns of the coils, and adjust again.

After this procedure, the grooves of the frame with coils must be filled with epoxy glue and covered with a second piece of plexiglass on top.

A team of scientists from the Marcus Institute for Research on Aging and Harvard Medical School conducted a sleep study of older adults to find out the optimal temperature in the bedroom for quality rest.
Previously, it was believed that the ideal temperature for sleep was between 16 °C and 18 °C. However, new research has shown that it is recommended that people over 65 sleep in a warmer room than previously thought.
Over 11 nights, experts monitored the sleep of 50 older people and concluded that the optimal temperature for a good night's rest ranged from 20°C to 25°C. These data allow us to more accurately determine the sleep conditions that promote the best rest for older adults.
It's important to note that too high a temperature in the bedroom can also negatively impact your quality of sleep. According to scientists, a clinically significant decrease in sleep efficiency of 10% occurs when the bedroom temperature rises to 25°C-30°C.
Studying the temperature patterns in the bedrooms of older people helps to better understand what conditions promote the best rest and sleep in this age group. Optimal sleep temperatures ranging from 20°C to 25°C may be key to improving the quality of life and health of older adults.
