(number of melodies x maximum number of notes in a melody):
    32 m x 7 n. 4 m x 63 n.
    16 m x 15 n. 2 m x 127 n.
    8 m x 31 n. 1 m x 255 n.
  • Random selection of ringtones.
  • The memory of a call that did not open the door.

Electrical specifications

Supply voltage 3,0 to 5,5 V.

Call operation description

The call is based on the PIC12C508 microcontroller. Ringtones are stored in an electrically programmable memory chip with an I2C bus type 24C04. All signals necessary to control the operation of the call and read / write melodies are output to one XP1 connector. Either a bell button and a sensor, or a cable for communication with a computer are connected to this connector. The sensor is used to determine the opening of the door by a bell and consists of a reed switch (fixed part) and a magnet (mounted on the door itself).

When you press the call button, a randomly selected melody is played. If within 3 minutes the door is not opened, then its subsequent opening will cause the melody to play. In other words, if a melody starts to sound when the door is opened, it means that someone rang the doorbell when no one was at home.

To create melodies and record them into a bell, a program for a personal computer has been developed - "Melody Editor" that works in the Windows 9x environment. If it is necessary to record new melodies, the call is connected via a cable to the LPT port of the computer.

You can download "Melody editor" (52 KB) here (It requires the Mfc42.dll library to work).
To record melodies in a call, you must:

  1. Connect the bell using a cable to the LPT port of a personal computer. In this case, the computer must first be turned off.
  2. Turn on the computer, load Windows and launch the "Melody Editor" program.
  3. Record ringtones.
  4. Shut down Windows, turn off the computer.
  5. Disconnect the call from the computer.

Machine for thinning flowers in gardens 02.05.2024

In modern agriculture, technological progress is developing aimed at increasing the efficiency of plant care processes. The innovative Florix flower thinning machine was presented in Italy, designed to optimize the harvesting stage. This tool is equipped with mobile arms, allowing it to be easily adapted to the needs of the garden. The operator can adjust the speed of the thin wires by controlling them from the tractor cab using a joystick. This approach significantly increases the efficiency of the flower thinning process, providing the possibility of individual adjustment to the specific conditions of the garden, as well as the variety and type of fruit grown in it. After testing the Florix machine for two years on various types of fruit, the results were very encouraging. Farmers such as Filiberto Montanari, who has used a Florix machine for several years, have reported a significant reduction in the time and labor required to thin flowers. ... >>

Advanced Infrared Microscope 02.05.2024

Microscopes play an important role in scientific research, allowing scientists to delve into structures and processes invisible to the eye. However, various microscopy methods have their limitations, and among them was the limitation of resolution when using the infrared range. But the latest achievements of Japanese researchers from the University of Tokyo open up new prospects for studying the microworld. Scientists from the University of Tokyo have unveiled a new microscope that will revolutionize the capabilities of infrared microscopy. This advanced instrument allows you to see the internal structures of living bacteria with amazing clarity on the nanometer scale. Typically, mid-infrared microscopes are limited by low resolution, but the latest development from Japanese researchers overcomes these limitations. According to scientists, the developed microscope allows creating images with a resolution of up to 120 nanometers, which is 30 times higher than the resolution of traditional microscopes. ... >>

Air trap for insects 01.05.2024

Agriculture is one of the key sectors of the economy, and pest control is an integral part of this process. A team of scientists from the Indian Council of Agricultural Research-Central Potato Research Institute (ICAR-CPRI), Shimla, has come up with an innovative solution to this problem - a wind-powered insect air trap. This device addresses the shortcomings of traditional pest control methods by providing real-time insect population data. The trap is powered entirely by wind energy, making it an environmentally friendly solution that requires no power. Its unique design allows monitoring of both harmful and beneficial insects, providing a complete overview of the population in any agricultural area. “By assessing target pests at the right time, we can take necessary measures to control both pests and diseases,” says Kapil ... >>

Drones will automatically fly to the scene of the firefight 21.12.2021

Engineers from an Israeli company have presented a system of drones that automatically respond to shots. They help the police assess the situation on the spot.

Israel has introduced a system that combines autonomous drones with technology for determining the location of shots. ShotSpotter will be used in over 120 cities in the US, South Africa and the Caribbean. She uses a network of microphones in the area to detect "loud, impulsive sounds".

When such a sound is detected, its geographic origin can be determined by analyzing the millisecond difference in time during which it was recorded by different microphones - the closer the microphone was to the weapon, the earlier it recorded the sound of the shot. In doing so, a combination of AI software and live personnel is used to determine whether a sound is indeed a gunshot.

In the current version of the system, devices are immediately sent to the scene of a shootout, and a police squad is sent there.

Israeli drone manufacturer Airobotics has added its drones to the system. In the new version of the system, the police will still arrive at the scene, but the nearest drone specific to this system will be sent. The device will be in the air for several seconds, immediately heading towards the source of the shots. By analyzing the video from the on-board camera, the police will be able to better understand the situation.

Each drone will be based on an indoor docking station where its batteries will be charged when not in flight. The robotic arm will remove the battery and replace it with a fully charged one so the drone is ready to fly at a moment's notice. This service is planned to be used in urban areas throughout Israel.
