В last time we learned how to compile the firmware and flash it into the controller via avr-gcc.
But what if we need to flash the fuses? Yes, and flashing the controller using the console is not very convenient.

So we need to download the GUI shell for avrdude.
1. Follow the link to the file sharing service: narod.ru/disk/27500236000/avr8-burn-o-mat-2.1.2-all.deb.html
2. Download the program.
3. Run and install.

Next, run the program: Applications->Programming->AVR8 Burn-O-Mat

Programming MK AVR in Ubuntu OS. AVR8 Burn-O-Mat

Next, open Settings-> AVRDUDE

Programming MK AVR in Ubuntu OS

In the AVRDUDE location, press the File button and look for a file called avrdude (should be here /usr/bin/avrdude).

Next, in the alternative AVRDUDE configuration file, press the File button and look for a file called avrdude.conf (it should be here /etc/avrdude.conf).

In AVRDUDE Options, select the required programmer, as well as the port through which we will work. If your programmer is built on a USB-RS232 converter, then you need to select /dev/ttyUSB0.
If everything is set, then click Apply->OK.
In AVR type, select the chip we need and click Fuses.

Programming MK AVR in Ubuntu OS. Fuses

Here, I think, and so everything is clear what to do with them.

If everything is set, then we try to flash or just read the firmware.

Programming MK AVR in Ubuntu OS

That's all. Good luck with your experiments.

Machine for thinning flowers in gardens 02.05.2024

In modern agriculture, technological progress is developing aimed at increasing the efficiency of plant care processes. The innovative Florix flower thinning machine was presented in Italy, designed to optimize the harvesting stage. This tool is equipped with mobile arms, allowing it to be easily adapted to the needs of the garden. The operator can adjust the speed of the thin wires by controlling them from the tractor cab using a joystick. This approach significantly increases the efficiency of the flower thinning process, providing the possibility of individual adjustment to the specific conditions of the garden, as well as the variety and type of fruit grown in it. After testing the Florix machine for two years on various types of fruit, the results were very encouraging. Farmers such as Filiberto Montanari, who has used a Florix machine for several years, have reported a significant reduction in the time and labor required to thin flowers. ... >>

Advanced Infrared Microscope 02.05.2024

Microscopes play an important role in scientific research, allowing scientists to delve into structures and processes invisible to the eye. However, various microscopy methods have their limitations, and among them was the limitation of resolution when using the infrared range. But the latest achievements of Japanese researchers from the University of Tokyo open up new prospects for studying the microworld. Scientists from the University of Tokyo have unveiled a new microscope that will revolutionize the capabilities of infrared microscopy. This advanced instrument allows you to see the internal structures of living bacteria with amazing clarity on the nanometer scale. Typically, mid-infrared microscopes are limited by low resolution, but the latest development from Japanese researchers overcomes these limitations. According to scientists, the developed microscope allows creating images with a resolution of up to 120 nanometers, which is 30 times higher than the resolution of traditional microscopes. ... >>

Air trap for insects 01.05.2024

Agriculture is one of the key sectors of the economy, and pest control is an integral part of this process. A team of scientists from the Indian Council of Agricultural Research-Central Potato Research Institute (ICAR-CPRI), Shimla, has come up with an innovative solution to this problem - a wind-powered insect air trap. This device addresses the shortcomings of traditional pest control methods by providing real-time insect population data. The trap is powered entirely by wind energy, making it an environmentally friendly solution that requires no power. Its unique design allows monitoring of both harmful and beneficial insects, providing a complete overview of the population in any agricultural area. “By assessing target pests at the right time, we can take necessary measures to control both pests and diseases,” says Kapil ... >>

360-degree video broadcast 04.02.2014

Japan's largest telecommunications company Nippon Telegraph and Telephone (NTT) and Dwango are designing an innovative video broadcasting system that will allow viewers to view the stage from various positions and angles.

The platform includes a special array of cameras providing a 360-degree field of view. The signal is transmitted to the viewer's wearable display: currently existing video glasses are used, but in the future a custom device can be developed.

NTT and Dwango emphasize that the platform uses special broadcast technologies that provide "optimized video and audio quality."

The system allows a viewer wearing computerized glasses or a helmet to change the viewpoint of the stage by turning their head - as if they were actually present in a concert hall or sports arena.

Moreover, theoretically, the new platform will make it possible to view video broadcasts with 360-degree coverage for both mobile and stationary users. In the first case, the system will provide maximum stability of signal reception, and in the second case, it will also provide the best quality.

In the near future, the project participants intend to conduct a comprehensive testing of the platform and evaluate its effectiveness. After that, a decision will be made on further development.

Got a question. In the avrdude.conf config there is a description of the ATtiny24 controller, and it is sewn from the console. But it is not in the drop-down list in the binder. How to add the controller to the list so that the binder can see it. Not good...
