It was like that at one of my former jobs. Then they put an electric lock on our room door - you know, one with an electromagnet. And everything would have been fine, but only one button was attached, and there were eight of us sitting there. Thus, if there was no person near whose place this button was equipped, then in order to open the door, one had to jump up and run to the button.

Of course, this suited few people, especially me, since I was that person. And I had to press that damn button all the time. And in the room we hung air conditioning, with a remote control, of course. Well, the idea came up to make a door opener that works from control panels for various consumer electronics. Which is what was done.

A ready-made IR module is used as a receiver TSOP1738. This is very convenient, because it simplifies the circuit to disgrace.

Well, then there is a microcircuit that forms a continuous high level based on the transistor VT1 to trigger the relay when the remote control button is pressed.

The transistor will be open during the entire period of pressing the button. After releasing the button, the transistor will close and the relay will open.

In general, the main point of all these dances is to ensure the noise immunity of the circuit. So that it does not turn on from matches, lighters, sunlight, fluorescent lamps and other things. This work is performed by the node on the elements D1, R1, C3. It forms a small delay in the operation of the circuit, due to which the probability of false operation is reduced. Capacity increase С3 causes an increase in this very delay, which has a positive effect on noise immunity, but requires a longer press on the remote control button. The ratings of all components are indicated on the diagram. Relay - any, designed for a voltage of 5 volts and a current of 20-30 mA. I used an old reed switch that I had lying around from the old clay times. You should not be greedy on capacitors - the IR module is very sensitive to power supply interference. Nutrition, of course, must be stable.

Computer games are becoming an increasingly popular form of entertainment among teenagers, but the associated risk of gaming addiction remains a significant problem. American scientists conducted a study to determine the main factors contributing to this addiction and offer recommendations for its prevention. Over the course of six years, 385 teenagers were followed to find out what factors may predispose them to gambling addiction. The results showed that 90% of study participants were not at risk of addiction, while 10% became gambling addicts. It turned out that the key factor in the onset of gambling addiction is a low level of prosocial behavior. Teenagers with a low level of prosocial behavior do not show interest in the help and support of others, which can lead to a loss of contact with the real world and a deepening dependence on virtual reality offered by computer games. However, few people think about how this noise affects the animal world, especially such delicate creatures as chicks that have not yet hatched from their eggs. Recent research is shedding light on this issue, indicating serious consequences for their development and survival. Scientists have found that exposure of zebra diamondback chicks to traffic noise can cause serious disruption to their development. Experiments have shown that noise pollution can significantly delay their hatching, and those chicks that do emerge face a number of health-promoting problems. TI pocket projector 17.07.2007

The pocket projector industry is looming more and more for the foreseeable future. Prototypes of such projectors are regularly shown at exhibitions, and an increasing number of companies are involved in this still undeveloped area.

Texas Instruments has unveiled its prototype of a pocket projector for mobile devices based on the use of a DLP chip (digital light processing). The demonstrated projector consists of 3 lasers, a DLP chip, a power supply and has a length of less than 4 cm. Thus, in terms of its dimensions, such a projector can fit on a human finger and, at the same time, is capable of projecting an A4 image in the presence of lighting.

Moreover, the demonstrated DLP-chip is capable of outputting an image with a resolution of HVGA (640x240), which is twice the resolution of the screen of traditional mobile phones. Regarding the future development of this prototype, representatives of Texas Instruments are optimistic and predict that soon such projectors will be able to project an image comparable in size to a widescreen television image.

According to Pacific Media Associates, by 2010 the market for devices using pocket projectors will reach 1 million units.
