The proposed device is designed to power the headlight lamp with constant voltage, in it all transistors are silicon, the collector terminals of the transistor VT1 and the base VT3 are connected to the "common" wire through the resistor R3, and not through the zener diode, a VD2 diode is inserted into the emitter circuit of the transistor, and between the terminals The emitter and collector of the transistor VT1 is equipped with a resistor R1, which facilitates the "start" of this stabilizer. The input voltage to the stabilizer is supplied from a rectifier made on the diode bridge VD1 and smoothing capacitors C1, C2.

Bicycle headlight voltage stabilizer

The alternating voltage on the bridge comes from the bike generator. During the operation of the bicycle generator, the output voltage of the diode bridge can change over a wide range, but at the output of the stabilizer (i.e., at the terminals of the EL.1 lamp of the bicycle headlight), it does not exceed the maximum allowable voltage of the lamp (3,5 V or 6 V, depending on the lamp used and the resistance of the resistor R3). In addition to those indicated in the diagram, you can use transistors KT313A-KT313V, KT315A-KT315I, any of the KT503 (VT1) series; Kt815A-KT815G, KT817A-KT817G, KT805AM, KT805BM (VT3); KT361A-KT361D, any of the KT502 (VT3) series. Diode bridge VD1 - any of the KTs405 series, diode VD2 - any with a permissible rectified current of at least 0,3 A.

Establishing a stabilizer comes down to selecting a resistor R3 with such a resistance that the voltage on the lamp does not exceed the allowable (3,5 V or 6 V, depending on the lamp used) even at the maximum voltage of the velogenerator. It should be noted that this circuit has the following disadvantages: the voltage drop across the bridge diodes VD1, the diode VD2, the emitter junction VT2 is large, as a result of which, in order to obtain an output voltage of the stabilizer of 3,5 V, about 7 V must be supplied to the diode bridge from the cycle generator. And that requires faster driving.

Machine for thinning flowers in gardens 02.05.2024

In modern agriculture, technological progress is developing aimed at increasing the efficiency of plant care processes. The innovative Florix flower thinning machine was presented in Italy, designed to optimize the harvesting stage. This tool is equipped with mobile arms, allowing it to be easily adapted to the needs of the garden. The operator can adjust the speed of the thin wires by controlling them from the tractor cab using a joystick. This approach significantly increases the efficiency of the flower thinning process, providing the possibility of individual adjustment to the specific conditions of the garden, as well as the variety and type of fruit grown in it. After testing the Florix machine for two years on various types of fruit, the results were very encouraging. Farmers such as Filiberto Montanari, who has used a Florix machine for several years, have reported a significant reduction in the time and labor required to thin flowers. ... >>

Advanced Infrared Microscope 02.05.2024

Microscopes play an important role in scientific research, allowing scientists to delve into structures and processes invisible to the eye. However, various microscopy methods have their limitations, and among them was the limitation of resolution when using the infrared range. But the latest achievements of Japanese researchers from the University of Tokyo open up new prospects for studying the microworld. Scientists from the University of Tokyo have unveiled a new microscope that will revolutionize the capabilities of infrared microscopy. This advanced instrument allows you to see the internal structures of living bacteria with amazing clarity on the nanometer scale. Typically, mid-infrared microscopes are limited by low resolution, but the latest development from Japanese researchers overcomes these limitations. According to scientists, the developed microscope allows creating images with a resolution of up to 120 nanometers, which is 30 times higher than the resolution of traditional microscopes. ... >>

Air trap for insects 01.05.2024

Agriculture is one of the key sectors of the economy, and pest control is an integral part of this process. A team of scientists from the Indian Council of Agricultural Research-Central Potato Research Institute (ICAR-CPRI), Shimla, has come up with an innovative solution to this problem - a wind-powered insect air trap. This device addresses the shortcomings of traditional pest control methods by providing real-time insect population data. The trap is powered entirely by wind energy, making it an environmentally friendly solution that requires no power. Its unique design allows monitoring of both harmful and beneficial insects, providing a complete overview of the population in any agricultural area. “By assessing target pests at the right time, we can take necessary measures to control both pests and diseases,” says Kapil ... >>

Dogs are smarter than wolves 29.10.2023

Scientific research shows that dogs have a greater variety of cognitive skills compared to wolves. Even though they share a common ancestor in the gray wolf, which is theorized to have evolved into dogs 15 years ago, modern dogs are not necessarily smarter.

Experts say you can't simply say dogs or wolves are smarter than each other, as their cognitive abilities correspond to their different lifestyles. Cognitive skills are classified as social, related to interactions with other animals, and non-social, related to interactions with the physical environment.

Juliana Brauer, an associate researcher at the Max Planck Institute for Human Development in Germany, emphasizes that these cognitive skills should be considered separately, and comparisons can be made by analogy with subjects at school.

One commonly used experiment to measure cognitive abilities in dogs and wolves is the pointing test. In one recent study, scientists performed this test on puppies and wolf cubs. They placed two cups upside down on the table, one of which they hid with food. They then gave 44 puppies clues using gestures or directions to find food. The results showed that dogs were twice as likely to successfully find food as wolves.

This suggests that dogs appear to have innate cognitive abilities that allow them to better understand tasks related to communication and the intentions of humans, compared to their wild relatives, wolves.
