This device is designed to control the level of liquids, such as water, in various tanks. It emits a continuous audio signal when the liquid level reaches the nominal value, and an intermittent audio signal when the liquid exceeds a critical level.

The indicator (Fig. 1) consists of two generators: the first one is assembled on logic elements DD1.1 and DD1.2, and the second - on elements DD1.3, DD1.4. The operation of the generator is controlled by a sensor from sensors E1-E3, placed in the tank at the level at which liquid control is required. If the liquid is below a predetermined level and, naturally, does not reach the sensors, a logic level of 2 is supplied to the inputs of the elements DD3-DD1.1 through resistors R1.3, R1. None of the generators is working. In this mode, the indicator practically does not consume current from the power source.

When the liquid reaches the sensors E1, E2 and "closes" them (unless, of course, the liquid is not dielectric), a logic level of 12 will appear at pin 1.3 of the DD0 element. The second generator starts working, and a beep sounds at a frequency of about 1 Hz . If the flow of liquid into the tank does not stop, its level will soon reach the sensor E1000. Logic level 3 will be at the inputs of the elements DD0, DD1.1. The first generator will start to work and control the inclusion of the second generator. The pulse repetition rate of the first generator is a few hertz, so intermittent sound signals will be heard in the phone, announcing that the liquid has reached a critical level.

In the indicator, you can use, in addition to that indicated in the diagram, the K561LE5 microcircuit; capacitors - KLS, KM; resistors - MLT-0,125; headphone - necessarily high-resistance, with a resistance of at least 1000 ohms at a frequency of 1000 Hz; power source - Krona battery or two 3336 batteries connected in series.

Sensors can be made in the form of tinned copper strips (Fig. 2) attached to a plate (A) of insulating material. A piece of foil fiberglass with touch conductive pads is also suitable. In this version, the pads are tinned or coated with an anti-corrosion conductive coating, and section A of the fiberglass is painted with varnish or paint. If the fluid is corrosive, the sensors should be made from a material that does not react chemically with the fluid, such as stainless steel. The resistance between the sensors must be at least 10 MΩ. If it fails to provide, you will have to reduce the resistance of the resistors R2 and R3.

Since the indicator consumes almost no power in standby mode, there is no power switch, but it is easy to turn it on if desired. No special adjustment of the indicator is required, but if necessary, the tone of the signal can be changed by selecting capacitor C2, and the frequency of its supply by selecting capacitor C1.

Machine for thinning flowers in gardens 02.05.2024

In modern agriculture, technological progress is developing aimed at increasing the efficiency of plant care processes. The innovative Florix flower thinning machine was presented in Italy, designed to optimize the harvesting stage. This tool is equipped with mobile arms, allowing it to be easily adapted to the needs of the garden. The operator can adjust the speed of the thin wires by controlling them from the tractor cab using a joystick. This approach significantly increases the efficiency of the flower thinning process, providing the possibility of individual adjustment to the specific conditions of the garden, as well as the variety and type of fruit grown in it. After testing the Florix machine for two years on various types of fruit, the results were very encouraging. Farmers such as Filiberto Montanari, who has used a Florix machine for several years, have reported a significant reduction in the time and labor required to thin flowers. ... >>

Advanced Infrared Microscope 02.05.2024

Microscopes play an important role in scientific research, allowing scientists to delve into structures and processes invisible to the eye. However, various microscopy methods have their limitations, and among them was the limitation of resolution when using the infrared range. But the latest achievements of Japanese researchers from the University of Tokyo open up new prospects for studying the microworld. Scientists from the University of Tokyo have unveiled a new microscope that will revolutionize the capabilities of infrared microscopy. This advanced instrument allows you to see the internal structures of living bacteria with amazing clarity on the nanometer scale. Typically, mid-infrared microscopes are limited by low resolution, but the latest development from Japanese researchers overcomes these limitations. According to scientists, the developed microscope allows creating images with a resolution of up to 120 nanometers, which is 30 times higher than the resolution of traditional microscopes. ... >>

Air trap for insects 01.05.2024

Agriculture is one of the key sectors of the economy, and pest control is an integral part of this process. A team of scientists from the Indian Council of Agricultural Research-Central Potato Research Institute (ICAR-CPRI), Shimla, has come up with an innovative solution to this problem - a wind-powered insect air trap. This device addresses the shortcomings of traditional pest control methods by providing real-time insect population data. The trap is powered entirely by wind energy, making it an environmentally friendly solution that requires no power. Its unique design allows monitoring of both harmful and beneficial insects, providing a complete overview of the population in any agricultural area. “By assessing target pests at the right time, we can take necessary measures to control both pests and diseases,” says Kapil ... >>

Propolis reduces blood pressure 07.09.2023

Recent research reveals the potential of propolis-based drugs in the fight against hypertension and coronary heart disease, especially in the early stages of the disease.

The researchers concluded that small doses of propolis, when consumed regularly, can slow down the process of platelet clotting, which plays a key role in the prevention and treatment of blood vessel thrombosis.

Bulgarian researchers conducted an experiment in which 42 patients with arterial hypertension of I-III degrees, aged 40 to 72 years, participated. At the beginning of the study, after five days of hospitalization, the patients were prescribed a diet according to the Pevsner method, which included 5-6 meals a day in small portions.

Propolis has only been used to treat patients who did not improve with the diet. It was used in the form of a 30% alcohol solution (30 g of propolis, grated on a fine grater, mixed with 100 ml of 70% medical alcohol or high-quality vodka). Patients took 40 drops of propolis three times a day one hour before meals.

As a result, 90 percent of the participants in the experiment noticed an improvement in their condition, including a decrease in headache, dizziness, tinnitus, a decrease in pain in the heart, normalization of pressure and heartbeat. In 75 percent of patients, a decrease in blood pressure was observed.

This recipe based on the use of propolis may be useful in the treatment of angina pectoris.
