Consider a private house (Fig. 14.11). The internal system consists of a potential equalization bus, which integrates all the extended metal structures of the house, and arresters.

The task of the arresters is to neutralize the overvoltage impulse that enters your home through power lines or communication systems. Thus, all electrical appliances in the house and all electrical wiring are protected from any kind of surge voltage.

Potential equalization systems include:

tires for potential equalization;
ground strips;
grounding clamps (clamps);
