Life time halogen lamps is determined by the moment of destruction of the filament. The use of a halogen cycle allows either to significantly increase the light output of the lamp compared to incandescent lamps while maintaining the same service life (1000 h), or to significantly extend the service life (up to 4000-5000 h) with the same light parameters.

As a rule, manufacturers choose a compromise option: twice the light output with twice the service life.

Standard service life network and many low-voltage halogen lamps, it is customary to consider a period of 2000 hours. The same parameter for individual low-voltage models reaches 4000 hours. life time.

Due to the use of a quartz bulb in halogen lamps, the ultraviolet radiation of the filament freely escapes to the outside, and special measures are required to block it. This problem is completely solved for network lamps, the quartz bulb of which is placed in a glass shell.

Partial filtering of ultraviolet is also achieved by applying a special filter coating to the flask (such lamps are labeled as UV-Stop, UV-Block, etc.). If the measures taken in the design of the lamp are insufficient to ensure its UV safety, such a lamp should only be installed in a luminaire with a protective glass, which is indicated in the catalog and on the package.

Colorful temperature halogen lamps, as well as the actual temperature of their filament, is higher than that of traditional incandescent lamps. It is 3000-3200 K.

Council. This parameter can be changed by using built-in or external light filters, as well as by selecting the thickness of the interference reflective layer in mirror lamps.

This technology is used to produce low voltage halogen lamps Tв = 4000 K, as well as colored ones.

Color rendering index The Ra of halogen lamps, like all thermal light sources, is maximum and equal to 100. Due to the higher incandescent temperature (compared to conventional incandescent lamps), the light of halogen lamps reproduces blue-green colors better.

Machine for thinning flowers in gardens 02.05.2024

In modern agriculture, technological progress is developing aimed at increasing the efficiency of plant care processes. The innovative Florix flower thinning machine was presented in Italy, designed to optimize the harvesting stage. This tool is equipped with mobile arms, allowing it to be easily adapted to the needs of the garden. The operator can adjust the speed of the thin wires by controlling them from the tractor cab using a joystick. This approach significantly increases the efficiency of the flower thinning process, providing the possibility of individual adjustment to the specific conditions of the garden, as well as the variety and type of fruit grown in it. After testing the Florix machine for two years on various types of fruit, the results were very encouraging. Farmers such as Filiberto Montanari, who has used a Florix machine for several years, have reported a significant reduction in the time and labor required to thin flowers. ... >>

Advanced Infrared Microscope 02.05.2024

Microscopes play an important role in scientific research, allowing scientists to delve into structures and processes invisible to the eye. However, various microscopy methods have their limitations, and among them was the limitation of resolution when using the infrared range. But the latest achievements of Japanese researchers from the University of Tokyo open up new prospects for studying the microworld. Scientists from the University of Tokyo have unveiled a new microscope that will revolutionize the capabilities of infrared microscopy. This advanced instrument allows you to see the internal structures of living bacteria with amazing clarity on the nanometer scale. Typically, mid-infrared microscopes are limited by low resolution, but the latest development from Japanese researchers overcomes these limitations. According to scientists, the developed microscope allows creating images with a resolution of up to 120 nanometers, which is 30 times higher than the resolution of traditional microscopes. ... >>

Air trap for insects 01.05.2024

Agriculture is one of the key sectors of the economy, and pest control is an integral part of this process. A team of scientists from the Indian Council of Agricultural Research-Central Potato Research Institute (ICAR-CPRI), Shimla, has come up with an innovative solution to this problem - a wind-powered insect air trap. This device addresses the shortcomings of traditional pest control methods by providing real-time insect population data. The trap is powered entirely by wind energy, making it an environmentally friendly solution that requires no power. Its unique design allows monitoring of both harmful and beneficial insects, providing a complete overview of the population in any agricultural area. “By assessing target pests at the right time, we can take necessary measures to control both pests and diseases,” says Kapil ... >>

30V HEXFET MOSFETs 21.08.2006

International Rectifier has unveiled IRF30PbF and IRF7835PbF dual 7836V HEXFET MOII transistors for use in DC/DCPOL (Point-of-Load) synchronous pulsed switching regulators.

Transistors are available in SO-8 package. The lRF7835PbF is designed for mobile processors requiring 35A current from a two-phase switching regulator. In this case, one control and two synchronous MOS transistors are used in each phase.

The element can be used in applications up to 11 A per MOSFET. The lRF7836PbF is designed for power rails that use one driver and only one synchronous MOSFET. They can be used in applications up to 9A per MOSFET.

According to the company's specialists, the new chipset is the best chipset for use in portable electronics power supplies and for powering the Intel Centrino processor core. Items comply with RoHS.
