During installation switches make sure that switching on is done by pressing the upper part of the key or the upper button. The switches are installed in the cut of the phase wire, which allows you to quickly de-energize the power grid in case of a short circuit, and also ensures electrical safety when replacing lamps, cartridges and repairing the wiring section from the switch to the lamp. Plug sockets are connected in parallel with the main wires of the network.

With open wiring, switches and sockets should be installed on gaskets from a non-conductive fireproof material (textolite, getinax, asbestos cement, etc.) with a thickness of at least 10 mm (socket boxes), which can be a structural part of the electrical installation products themselves.

On combustible bases on wooden sockets, it is necessary to install an additional asbestos gasket 2-3 mm thick, which will provide protection against fire of the socket in the event of a contact connection failure in the switch or socket. Splash-proof switches and sockets can be mounted directly on the wall or on a steel bracket. The entry of wires or cables through the gland seal is carried out from below.

With hidden wiring, switches and socket outlets are installed in metal Boxes, smeared into the wall with alabaster mortar. To fix the switch or socket in the box, remove the decorative cover from them, attach the wires, slightly unscrew the screws from the plates of the spacer brackets and slide the switch or socket into the box. When the screws are screwed in, the legs of the device are extended and firmly fix the switch or socket in the box. The screws are turned to the stop alternately, avoiding distortion, with such an effort not to split the base. After fixing the base of the switch or the socket, decorative covers are fixed on them.

Chandeliers hung on hooks. Suspension of luminaires on wires is prohibited. The hook in the ceiling must be insulated with a polyvinyl chloride tube to prevent the appearance of a dangerous potential in the metal fittings of concrete slabs or steel pipes of electrical wiring if the insulation in the luminaire is broken.

If the hook is attached to a wooden floor, it is not necessary to isolate it.

To install the hook in a hollow slab, a hole is made, the fasteners are inserted into it and fixed. In solid reinforced concrete ceilings, the lamp is suspended from a pin, which is passed through the entire ceiling. You can apply other methods of fastening.

Luminaire suspension fixtures must be tested for strength for 10 minutes with a force (load) equal to five times the mass of the luminaire. The suspension mounting parts must not be damaged.

Fixtures charged with copper flexible wires with a core cross section of at least 0,5 mm2 inside buildings and 1 mm2 for outdoor installation and connected to the network wires using a clamping block.

A New Way to Control and Manipulate Optical Signals 05.05.2024

The modern world of science and technology is developing rapidly, and every day new methods and technologies appear that open up new prospects for us in various fields. One such innovation is the development by German scientists of a new way to control optical signals, which could lead to significant progress in the field of photonics. Recent research has allowed German scientists to create a tunable waveplate inside a fused silica waveguide. This method, based on the use of a liquid crystal layer, allows one to effectively change the polarization of light passing through a waveguide. This technological breakthrough opens up new prospects for the development of compact and efficient photonic devices capable of processing large volumes of data. The electro-optical control of polarization provided by the new method could provide the basis for a new class of integrated photonic devices. This opens up great opportunities for ... >>

Primium Seneca keyboard 05.05.2024

Keyboards are an integral part of our daily computer work. However, one of the main problems that users face is noise, especially in the case of premium models. But with the new Seneca keyboard from Norbauer & Co, that may change. Seneca is not just a keyboard, it is the result of five years of development work to create the ideal device. Every aspect of this keyboard, from acoustic properties to mechanical characteristics, has been carefully considered and balanced. One of the key features of Seneca is its silent stabilizers, which solve the noise problem common to many keyboards. In addition, the keyboard supports various key widths, making it convenient for any user. Although Seneca is not yet available for purchase, it is scheduled for release in late summer. Norbauer & Co's Seneca represents new standards in keyboard design. Her ... >>

The world's tallest astronomical observatory opened 04.05.2024

Exploring space and its mysteries is a task that attracts the attention of astronomers from all over the world. In the fresh air of the high mountains, far from city light pollution, the stars and planets reveal their secrets with greater clarity. A new page is opening in the history of astronomy with the opening of the world's highest astronomical observatory - the Atacama Observatory of the University of Tokyo. The Atacama Observatory, located at an altitude of 5640 meters above sea level, opens up new opportunities for astronomers in the study of space. This site has become the highest location for a ground-based telescope, providing researchers with a unique tool for studying infrared waves in the Universe. Although the high altitude location provides clearer skies and less interference from the atmosphere, building an observatory on a high mountain poses enormous difficulties and challenges. However, despite the difficulties, the new observatory opens up broad research prospects for astronomers. ... >>

The cost of human colonization of the Moon has been calculated 25.03.2024

Colonizing the Moon is an ambitious project that requires significant investment and technological innovation. Despite the difficulties, the success of these missions could open new horizons for humanity in space exploration and further exploration of other worlds.

The space industry is pushing to establish the first human colonies on the Moon, involving both government space agencies and the private sector. The main goal is to turn the Moon into a base for further space exploration.

The creation of lunar bases involves the construction of residential complexes, research centers, power plants and factories for processing resources. Particular attention is paid to water on the Moon, which can be used to produce oxygen and hydrogen. In addition, the Moon has the potential to mine helium-3 and rare metals.

The polar regions of the Moon, with their perpetual light and shadow, are seen as ideal locations for solar power plants and scientific research bases. The unique conditions on the far side of the Moon also make it possible to deploy telescopes for deep space exploration.

According to experts, the cost of colonizing the Moon is estimated at ten zeros, and a long stay of astronauts on the Moon could cost $100 million per day. NASA's Artemis program, which plans to put people on the Moon by 2025, has a budget of $95 billion.

The success of missions to the Moon depends on innovative technologies such as cryogenic engines, nuclear reactors, solar panels, 3D printers and artificial intelligence. New spacesuits for astronauts and concepts for lunar colonies have already been developed, demonstrating the future of humanity on this satellite of the Earth.
