When manufacturing a power amplifier, radio amateurs face the question of which active element to use in it. The advent of powerful transistors led to the creation of a large number of designs based on them. However, designing on such an element base at home is problematic for most radio amateurs.

Application in the output stages of powerful modern metal-glass or metal-ceramic lamps of the GU-74B type, etc. difficult due to their high cost. The way out is the use of widely used lamps, for example 6P45S, used in color TVs. The idea of the proposed amplifier is not new and was described in [1]. It is made on two beam tetrodes 6P45S, connected according to the scheme with grounded grids.

Technical specifications:

Power Gain - 8
Maximum anode current - 800 mA
Anode voltage - 600
Equivalent amplifier resistance - 500 ohms

Switching to transmission occurs by applying a control voltage to relays K1, K2. In the absence of such a voltage in the CB-station, it is possible to produce an electronic receive/transmit key, as was done in [2]. Details and design Chokes L1, L5 have an inductance of 200 µH and must be rated for 800 mA. The inductor L6, L7 is wound on a ring 50 VCh-2 K32x20x6 with two MGShV wires with a cross section of 1 mm2. Coils L2, L3 contain 3 turns each and are wound with wire 0 1 mm on Rl, R2, respectively. The P-loop coil L4 is wound with a wire with a diameter of 2,5 mm. Amplifier capacitors - type KSO for an operating voltage of 500 V. For forced airflow, a VN-2 fan or similar is used.

As a relay K1, you can use RPV2 / 7, K2 - REV-15. Rectifier capacitors C 11, C 12 - electrolytic for a voltage of at least 350 V. Diodes VD3 ... VD6 - D248B or others with appropriate parameters. P-circuit capacitors C4, C 5 can be applied variables and their rotors can be displayed on the front panel for tuning.

Setting up the amplifier is not difficult. It is necessary to make sure that there are filament voltages, +300 V, -300 V. In the absence of an input signal, a voltage of -7 V should be present on the tetrode grids, and the anode current of both lamps should be 5 mA. When a signal is applied, by adjusting the elements of the P-loop C4 and C 5, the maximum power of the amplifier is achieved.

Artificial leather for touch emulation 15.04.2024

In a modern technology world where distance is becoming increasingly commonplace, maintaining connection and a sense of closeness is important. Recent developments in artificial skin by German scientists from Saarland University represent a new era in virtual interactions. German researchers from Saarland University have developed ultra-thin films that can transmit the sensation of touch over a distance. This cutting-edge technology provides new opportunities for virtual communication, especially for those who find themselves far from their loved ones. The ultra-thin films developed by the researchers, just 50 micrometers thick, can be integrated into textiles and worn like a second skin. These films act as sensors that recognize tactile signals from mom or dad, and as actuators that transmit these movements to the baby. Parents' touch to the fabric activates sensors that react to pressure and deform the ultra-thin film. This ... >>

Petgugu Global cat litter 15.04.2024

Taking care of pets can often be a challenge, especially when it comes to keeping your home clean. A new interesting solution from the Petgugu Global startup has been presented, which will make life easier for cat owners and help them keep their home perfectly clean and tidy. Startup Petgugu Global has unveiled a unique cat toilet that can automatically flush feces, keeping your home clean and fresh. This innovative device is equipped with various smart sensors that monitor your pet's toilet activity and activate to automatically clean after use. The device connects to the sewer system and ensures efficient waste removal without the need for intervention from the owner. Additionally, the toilet has a large flushable storage capacity, making it ideal for multi-cat households. The Petgugu cat litter bowl is designed for use with water-soluble litters and offers a range of additional ... >>

The attractiveness of caring men 14.04.2024

The stereotype that women prefer "bad boys" has long been widespread. However, recent research conducted by British scientists from Monash University offers a new perspective on this issue. They looked at how women responded to men's emotional responsibility and willingness to help others. The study's findings could change our understanding of what makes men attractive to women. A study conducted by scientists from Monash University leads to new findings about men's attractiveness to women. In the experiment, women were shown photographs of men with brief stories about their behavior in various situations, including their reaction to an encounter with a homeless person. Some of the men ignored the homeless man, while others helped him, such as buying him food. A study found that men who showed empathy and kindness were more attractive to women compared to men who showed empathy and kindness. ... >>

individual viruses 20.06.2011

American geneticists, having analyzed the nucleic acids of viruses that inhabit the human intestine, found about 4100 types of viruses, 81% of which are new, previously unknown to science.

The work was carried out on four pairs of identical twins and their mothers. It turned out that, unlike the bacterial flora, the composition of intestinal viruses is strictly individual for everyone, even for twins from the same pair. A quarter of the detected viruses are bacteriophages that parasitize bacteria.
