This is what Evgeny Kulkov and Maxim Ryauzov called this device. It is designed for self-training sessions. It is known that the abilities and capabilities of people involved in autogenic training (auto-training) are sometimes amazing: a person is able to replace sleep with an hour's rest, he develops exceptional attention, memory, and the ability to "turn off" pain.

As a result of long-term training, mental culture increases so much that a person's abilities are perceived as miracles. It is known, for example, that Napoleon, thanks to his perfect mastery of active relaxation, could fall asleep under the roar of cannons. And in 1926, in the Bombay Medical Society, a certain Desabandhu, in the presence of experts, demonstrated the regulation of cardiac activity, reducing the number of heart contractions to two beats per minute.

Many "electronics" have experienced the effectiveness of various devices and simulators, developed with the participation of medical professionals and contributing to autogenic training. When designing them, an important fact proved by psychologists was used: in a person with emotional excitement and mobilization of forces, the resistance of the skin of the hands is small, and when a person calms down and falls asleep, it increases. This is the so-called galvanic skin response (GSR). Knowing the resistance of the skin of the hands, it is not difficult to determine the emotional state of a person at the moment.

In the proposed version of the device (Fig. 10), a measuring bridge is used, in one of the arms of which electrodes are connected, and in the diagonal - a GB1 supply battery. The resistors of the remaining arms are needed to balance the bridge. A matching device on transistors VT1, VT2 is connected to the other diagonal of the bridge, which controls the AF generator on transistors VT3, VT4. The generator load is a high-resistance (50 Ohm) dynamic head or a DEMSh capsule.

All parts (except electrodes and head) are mounted in a small case (Fig. 11). The head (or capsule) is placed in a plastic cup.

How is the device used? First, wash your hands with soap and dry them thoroughly with a towel. Then fix the electrodes with a rubber ring or plaster on the left hand. By moving the engine of the variable resistor R3, the oscillations of the generator are disrupted, which will mean the desired limit of complete relaxation. Next, the bridge is unbalanced by increasing the resistance of the variable resistor and a self-hypnosis session begins. Its effectiveness is judged by a change in the tone of the generator, and after a while - the disappearance of sound, which indicates an increase in the resistance of the area of \uXNUMXb\uXNUMXbthe hand.

Record the duration of the session. In the future, it should decrease. The unbalance of the bridge should be increased with each session.

After the acquired experience of autogenic training, learn to quickly fall asleep and fully restore your strength.

We remind you that experiments and trainings of this kind require the advice and supervision of a specialist doctor.

Traffic noise delays the growth of chicks 06.05.2024

The sounds that surround us in modern cities are becoming increasingly piercing. However, few people think about how this noise affects the animal world, especially such delicate creatures as chicks that have not yet hatched from their eggs. Recent research is shedding light on this issue, indicating serious consequences for their development and survival. Scientists have found that exposure of zebra diamondback chicks to traffic noise can cause serious disruption to their development. Experiments have shown that noise pollution can significantly delay their hatching, and those chicks that do emerge face a number of health-promoting problems. The researchers also found that the negative effects of noise pollution extend into the adult birds. Reduced chances of reproduction and decreased fertility indicate the long-term effects that traffic noise has on wildlife. The study results highlight the need ... >>

A New Way to Control and Manipulate Optical Signals 05.05.2024

The modern world of science and technology is developing rapidly, and every day new methods and technologies appear that open up new prospects for us in various fields. One such innovation is the development by German scientists of a new way to control optical signals, which could lead to significant progress in the field of photonics. Recent research has allowed German scientists to create a tunable waveplate inside a fused silica waveguide. This method, based on the use of a liquid crystal layer, allows one to effectively change the polarization of light passing through a waveguide. This technological breakthrough opens up new prospects for the development of compact and efficient photonic devices capable of processing large volumes of data. The electro-optical control of polarization provided by the new method could provide the basis for a new class of integrated photonic devices. This opens up great opportunities for ... >>

Space cargo delivery using a vacuum tube 13.08.2023

A team of American researchers has developed an innovative method of cost-effective space delivery by replacing traditional rockets with powerful kinetic guns.

Startup Longshot Space has unveiled a concept that involves overcoming the high cost of delivering cargo to orbit using vacuum tubes capable of launching projectiles at orbital speeds.

Mike Grace, chief executive of the company, points out that the new approach will reduce the cost of launching payloads to orbit by up to $10 per kilogram, which is significantly cheaper than using traditional rockets such as the Falcon 9, which costs $6500 per kilogram.

According to the concept of Longshot Space, it is assumed that a pipe up to 10 kilometers high will be used to launch cargo into space. By using compressed gas, cargo will be accelerated to orbital speeds of up to Mach 30 (36,751 km/h). The effectiveness of this system directly depends on the scale and size of the technologies used.

Mike Grace explained: "The Longshot concept is like a huge kinetic cannon or pistol, but without explosives. The compressed gas will push the projectile down a long concrete tunnel. Our goal is to create a system that is extremely reliable and easy to operate. costly solution. Instead, we're betting on scale and simplicity."
