ENCYCLOPEDIA OF RADIO ELECTRONICS AND ELECTRICAL ENGINEERING Electronic game Who is the first? Encyclopedia of radio electronics and electrical engineering Encyclopedia of radio electronics and electrical engineering / Beginner radio amateur Many readers seem to remember the XNUMX to XNUMX game in which the host reads out a question and two of the players try to press "their" button as soon as possible in order to light a signal lamp and be the first to answer it. A similar device, capable of detecting a player with a faster reaction, can be assembled according to the diagram shown in the figure. It is made on the basis of a digital TTL microcircuit, two transistors and two LEDs of different glow colors. On the elements DD1.1 and DD1.2, the first RS flip-flop is assembled, and on the elements DD1.3, DD1.4 - the second. On transistors VT1, VT2, electronic keys are assembled that control the red (VD1) and green (VD2) LEDs. Resistor R4 limits the current through the LEDs. Resistors R1-R3 serve as a "suspension" to the positive power rail of the trigger inputs, which increases the voltage on them and improves the noise immunity of the device. Capacitor C1 shunts the power supply in order to suppress high-frequency interference. After applying the supply voltage to the device, one or two LEDs may be on, or none of them may be on - it all depends on the state of the triggers. The triggers are set to zero by pressing the SB3 button. At the same time, a low level is set at pins 3 of the DD1.1 element and 8 of the DD1.3 element: the transistors are closed, the LEDs are off. Suppose now that the button SB1 was pressed first. A low level from pin 8 of the DD1.3 element is fed to the input of the first trigger - pin 1 of the DD1.1 element. The trigger goes into a single state, i.e., a high level is set at pin 3, as a result of which the transistor VT1 opens and the red LED VD1 lights up. If you press the SB2 button, the second trigger will not change its state, since the pin 9 of the DD1.3 element remains high. To bring the triggers to their original state, press the SB3 button again. Instead of LEDs in the device, it is permissible to use incandescent lamps with greater brightness (for example, MNZ, 5-0,26). But then you will have to install more powerful transistors, since the lamps in the cold state have a resistance that is about ten times less compared to burning ones, and eliminate the resistor R4. The device is powered from a mains source with a stabilized voltage of 5 V or from a battery of galvanic cells with a voltage of 4,5 V. Author: E.
