The system includes an electric fuel pump, a fuel accumulator, a fuel filter, a fuel pressure regulator in the system, a fuel dispenser, an electro-hydraulic control pressure regulator, an injector and a starting nozzle, a Hall sensor, a throttle position switch, an auxiliary air supply valve, a temperature sensor coolant, thermal relay, pressure plate potentiometer, electronic control unit. The fuel injection system works as follows. The electric pump provides fuel supply from the fuel tank to the dispenser-distributor of the injection system through the accumulator and the fuel filter. In the dispenser-distributor, fuel enters the upper chambers of the differential valves under pressure, which, in turn, depending on the position of the distributor plunger, is adjusted by the fuel pressure regulator. The amount of fuel required for the preparation of the fuel mixture and supplied to the injectors is controlled by the diaphragm of the differential valves, which is pressed against the control pressure.

The fuel pressure in the system is determined by the appropriate regulator, which sets the pressure range in the system and regulates the differential pressure. The control pressure regulator is an electrovalve, which is controlled, in turn, by an electronic control unit. The regulator includes a bimetallic plate, the position of which determines the supply of fuel to the regulator. With an increase in engine speed, the fuel supply to the regulator is limited, and with a decrease in speed, it increases.

Based on the signals from the sensors, the electronic control unit “calculates” the engine operating mode and controls the control pressure regulator valve. The auxiliary air supply valve is controlled by the electronic control unit and operates during cold start and engine warm-up. In starting modes, depending on the temperature of the coolant, the starting injector sprays fuel into the intake tract and provides enrichment of the fuel mixture for reliable engine start. To ensure more rational fuel dosing, an oxygen content sensor in the exhaust gases (lambda probe) can be included in the control system.

Machine for thinning flowers in gardens 02.05.2024

In modern agriculture, technological progress is developing aimed at increasing the efficiency of plant care processes. The innovative Florix flower thinning machine was presented in Italy, designed to optimize the harvesting stage. This tool is equipped with mobile arms, allowing it to be easily adapted to the needs of the garden. The operator can adjust the speed of the thin wires by controlling them from the tractor cab using a joystick. This approach significantly increases the efficiency of the flower thinning process, providing the possibility of individual adjustment to the specific conditions of the garden, as well as the variety and type of fruit grown in it. After testing the Florix machine for two years on various types of fruit, the results were very encouraging. Farmers such as Filiberto Montanari, who has used a Florix machine for several years, have reported a significant reduction in the time and labor required to thin flowers. ... >>

Advanced Infrared Microscope 02.05.2024

Microscopes play an important role in scientific research, allowing scientists to delve into structures and processes invisible to the eye. However, various microscopy methods have their limitations, and among them was the limitation of resolution when using the infrared range. But the latest achievements of Japanese researchers from the University of Tokyo open up new prospects for studying the microworld. Scientists from the University of Tokyo have unveiled a new microscope that will revolutionize the capabilities of infrared microscopy. This advanced instrument allows you to see the internal structures of living bacteria with amazing clarity on the nanometer scale. Typically, mid-infrared microscopes are limited by low resolution, but the latest development from Japanese researchers overcomes these limitations. According to scientists, the developed microscope allows creating images with a resolution of up to 120 nanometers, which is 30 times higher than the resolution of traditional microscopes. ... >>

Air trap for insects 01.05.2024

Agriculture is one of the key sectors of the economy, and pest control is an integral part of this process. A team of scientists from the Indian Council of Agricultural Research-Central Potato Research Institute (ICAR-CPRI), Shimla, has come up with an innovative solution to this problem - a wind-powered insect air trap. This device addresses the shortcomings of traditional pest control methods by providing real-time insect population data. The trap is powered entirely by wind energy, making it an environmentally friendly solution that requires no power. Its unique design allows monitoring of both harmful and beneficial insects, providing a complete overview of the population in any agricultural area. “By assessing target pests at the right time, we can take necessary measures to control both pests and diseases,” says Kapil ... >>

High Voltage MOSFETs for High Speed Switching Devices 12.04.2016

Toshiba Electronics Europe (TEE), the European electronics division of Toshiba Corporation, has introduced a new series of high-speed high-voltage MOSFETs for switching voltage regulators.

The four 800V and 900V n-channel devices feature low typical on-state resistance (RDS(ON)) down to 1,9 ohms. Target applications for the new devices are flyback converters for LED lighting, auxiliary power supplies, and other circuits that require switching currents below 5A.

The new enhancement mode MOSFETs are manufactured using Toshiba's eighth-generation Pi-MOS-8 planar semiconductor manufacturing process, which combines a high level of integration with an optimized cell structure. This technology reduces gate charge and capacitance without losing the benefits of low RDS(ON), the company said.

Toshiba envisions these MOSFETs as a low-current addition to the existing 800V DTMOS IV series with DTMOS4 Super Junction technology. The TK3A90E 2,5A and TK5A90E 4,5A transistors have a VDSS rating of 900V and typical RDS(ON) ratings of 3,7 and 2,5 ohms, respectively. The 4A TK80A4,0E and 5A TK80A5,0E transistors have a VDSS rating of 800V and typical RDS(ON) ratings of 2,8 and 1,9 ohms, respectively.

Toshiba's new MOSFETs feature an ultra-low maximum leakage current of only 10µA (VDS = 60V) and a gate voltage threshold range of 2,5 to 4,0V (at VDS = 10V and 0,4mA drain current) . All devices are shipped in standard form factor TO-220SIS cases.
