The icing indicator, by monitoring the ambient temperature, warns the driver about the onset of conditions for the formation of ice on the road in wet weather at temperatures from 0 ° to 2,2 ° C.

The circuit controls the duration of the flashes of the HL1 LED: at a temperature of 2,2 °, the flash is short, when the temperature drops to zero, the flash becomes longer, following once per second. A thermistor is used as a temperature sensor, the nominal resistance of which at 25°C is 15 kOhm.

The thermistor is installed in the enclosure and is in contact with the surrounding air. A2 works as a self-oscillating multivibrator with a period of 1 Hz, sawtooth pulses are taken from the capacitor C1.

Chip A3 is a comparator, the lower the temperature, the longer the pulse duration at the output of A3, the longer the LED flash.

The domestic analogue of the LM3900 chip is 1435UD1.

Artificial leather for touch emulation 15.04.2024

In a modern technology world where distance is becoming increasingly commonplace, maintaining connection and a sense of closeness is important. Recent developments in artificial skin by German scientists from Saarland University represent a new era in virtual interactions. German researchers from Saarland University have developed ultra-thin films that can transmit the sensation of touch over a distance. This cutting-edge technology provides new opportunities for virtual communication, especially for those who find themselves far from their loved ones. The ultra-thin films developed by the researchers, just 50 micrometers thick, can be integrated into textiles and worn like a second skin. These films act as sensors that recognize tactile signals from mom or dad, and as actuators that transmit these movements to the baby. Parents' touch to the fabric activates sensors that react to pressure and deform the ultra-thin film. This ... >>

Petgugu Global cat litter 15.04.2024

Taking care of pets can often be a challenge, especially when it comes to keeping your home clean. A new interesting solution from the Petgugu Global startup has been presented, which will make life easier for cat owners and help them keep their home perfectly clean and tidy. Startup Petgugu Global has unveiled a unique cat toilet that can automatically flush feces, keeping your home clean and fresh. This innovative device is equipped with various smart sensors that monitor your pet's toilet activity and activate to automatically clean after use. The device connects to the sewer system and ensures efficient waste removal without the need for intervention from the owner. Additionally, the toilet has a large flushable storage capacity, making it ideal for multi-cat households. The Petgugu cat litter bowl is designed for use with water-soluble litters and offers a range of additional ... >>

The attractiveness of caring men 14.04.2024

The stereotype that women prefer "bad boys" has long been widespread. However, recent research conducted by British scientists from Monash University offers a new perspective on this issue. They looked at how women responded to men's emotional responsibility and willingness to help others. The study's findings could change our understanding of what makes men attractive to women. A study conducted by scientists from Monash University leads to new findings about men's attractiveness to women. In the experiment, women were shown photographs of men with brief stories about their behavior in various situations, including their reaction to an encounter with a homeless person. Some of the men ignored the homeless man, while others helped him, such as buying him food. A study found that men who showed empathy and kindness were more attractive to women compared to men who showed empathy and kindness. ... >>

Evaluation Board STEVAL-IDB009V1 06.08.2020

The new STEVAL-IDB009V1 evaluation board is designed to develop BLE applications with the BlueNRG-248 system-on-a-chip manufactured by STMicroelectronics.

The BlueNRG-248 chip is Bluetooth 5.0 certified and can act as a central or peripheral BLE device. Simultaneous master/slave operation is also supported. The chip has increased throughput due to the function of increased packet length. The BlueNRG-248 chip contains 256 kB FLASH and 24 kB RAM for the BLE stack and user application.

The STEVAL-IDB009V1 board has an LSM6DS3 motion sensor (accelerometer + gyroscope) and an LPS25HB pressure and temperature sensor on board. Interaction with the user is carried out using buttons and LEDs. Virtual COM-port via USB allows you to display debug information on a PC. The board can be powered in three ways - only from USB, only from a battery, or from an external power supply plus USB.

The board works with an external antenna (included in the kit) connected via an SMA connector. The presence of connectors for boards in Arduino format allows you to use a large number of expansion boards with STEVAL-IDB009V1.

To work with the board, you can download the STSW-BLUENRG1-DK package from the manufacturer's website, which includes a graphical Windows shell for loading and running applications through the menu system, as well as various ready-made code examples for traditional development using the IDE.

STSW-BLUENRG1-DK software features:

Software package for BlueNRG-1/2 BLE chips;
PC application BlueNRG-1/2 Navigator;
BlueNRG-1/2 radio initialization settings wizard;
BLE stack in the form of a library with a set of APIs;
Examples of demo applications with low power consumption;
Peripheral drivers and related examples;
Patented RF data transfer driver without BLE with examples;
BlueNRG-1 and BlueNRG-2 SDK and HAL drivers;
CMSIS files for BlueNRG-1/2.
