black tanning used when they want to get a black sheepskin.

Tanning according to this method is carried out with decoctions of kampesh. The black tanned sheepskins are fermented and cleaned with pumice.

On first way for black tanning, take 400 g of logwood extract and dissolve it in 12 liters of hot water. When the solution has cooled (about 30 °C), it is applied with a rag or soft brush to the inside of the sheepskin laid out on the table.

Spread until the sheepskin stops absorbing liquid and is completely wet. After smearing with a solution of the extract, the flesh acquires a reddish-brown color. Then the flesh is lubricated with a warm solution of Chrompik at a temperature of about 30 °C, and 100 g of Chrompik is taken per bucket of water. The color of the flesh after coating with chromium becomes black.

Dyed sheepskins are hung in a warm room on poles or ropes to dry. First, it is dried with the hair facing out at a temperature of about 35-40 °C, and then after a few hours it is turned over onto the skin and dried completely. After drying, the sheepskin is first washed through the wool, and then through the bakhtarma.

After washing, the sheepskins are dried again, lightly sprinkled with water and allowed to lie in piles for some time so that they repel. Next, the sheepskins go to the brace on the frames or to the hook and, finally, are finally cleaned with pumice. After cleaning the mezdra, the sheepskins are sprayed with a mixture of kerosene and oleonaphtha with a spray gun.

On second way mix 72 g of cream of tartar, 30 g of blue vitriol and 72 g of hrompika, put in a pot (enamelled pot must be used), pour one bucket of water and heat slightly until the salts dissolve. To the resulting solution is added 72 g of sulfuric acid. The mixture is left alone for some time, then the sheepskin is smeared with it from the mezdrya side. This mixture is used for mordant when blackening Sheepskins. Separately, 400 g of blue sandalwood and 40% of ink nuts are placed in a cauldron, poured with water and boiled. The resulting liquid is spread on the mezra over the mordant until the sheepskin takes on a black color. Further processed, as indicated in the 1st method.

To break down black sheepskins, not an iron, but a wooden hook is used. Working with a wooden hook is no different from working with an iron one. To obtain pile on the sheepskin under the cloth, you can comb the core with a wire carded tape, which is used when combing wool.

Air trap for insects 01.05.2024

Agriculture is one of the key sectors of the economy, and pest control is an integral part of this process. A team of scientists from the Indian Council of Agricultural Research-Central Potato Research Institute (ICAR-CPRI), Shimla, has come up with an innovative solution to this problem - a wind-powered insect air trap. This device addresses the shortcomings of traditional pest control methods by providing real-time insect population data. The trap is powered entirely by wind energy, making it an environmentally friendly solution that requires no power. Its unique design allows monitoring of both harmful and beneficial insects, providing a complete overview of the population in any agricultural area. “By assessing target pests at the right time, we can take necessary measures to control both pests and diseases,” says Kapil ... >>

The threat of space debris to the Earth's magnetic field 01.05.2024

More and more often we hear about an increase in the amount of space debris surrounding our planet. However, it is not only active satellites and spacecraft that contribute to this problem, but also debris from old missions. The growing number of satellites launched by companies like SpaceX creates not only opportunities for the development of the Internet, but also serious threats to space security. Experts are now turning their attention to the potential implications for the Earth's magnetic field. Dr. Jonathan McDowell of the Harvard-Smithsonian Center for Astrophysics emphasizes that companies are rapidly deploying satellite constellations, and the number of satellites could grow to 100 in the next decade. The rapid development of these cosmic armadas of satellites can lead to contamination of the Earth's plasma environment with dangerous debris and a threat to the stability of the magnetosphere. Metal debris from used rockets can disrupt the ionosphere and magnetosphere. Both of these systems play a key role in protecting the atmosphere and maintaining ... >>

Solidification of bulk substances 30.04.2024

There are quite a few mysteries in the world of science, and one of them is the strange behavior of bulk materials. They may behave like a solid but suddenly turn into a flowing liquid. This phenomenon has attracted the attention of many researchers, and we may finally be getting closer to solving this mystery. Imagine sand in an hourglass. It usually flows freely, but in some cases its particles begin to get stuck, turning from a liquid to a solid. This transition has important implications for many areas, from drug production to construction. Researchers from the USA have attempted to describe this phenomenon and come closer to understanding it. In the study, the scientists conducted simulations in the laboratory using data from bags of polystyrene beads. They found that the vibrations within these sets had specific frequencies, meaning that only certain types of vibrations could travel through the material. Received ... >>

Successful control of hot qubits 19.04.2020

Intel is one step closer to realizing practical quantum computers. The chipmaker, together with his partner QuTech, were able to successfully control "hot" qubits (that is, at temperatures above 1 Kelvin), which are also coherent and dense, which simplifies the placement of qubits and control electronics on a single chip and thus allows the implementation of more advanced quantum computers.

Until now, quantum computers have had to operate at temperatures in the millikelvin range, or just above absolute zero (about -273 degrees Celsius). This is even less than the average temperature in outer space (about 3 Kelvin or about -270 degrees Celsius).

At the same time, the demonstration of the capabilities of Intel and QuTech can be called relatively modest. The companies completed testing using two-qubit logic, although modern quantum computers are capable of handling dozens of qubits, and a fully functional computer may require more than 1 million qubits. This is "just one step" towards scalable quantum computers, according to Intel. However, this is an important step, demonstrating that the technology is more viable than it seems today.
