Как bleach wood?

Fresh, not old wood of maple, linden, aspen and silver poplar can be cleanly bleached with a solution of hydrogen peroxide with the addition of ammonia. Processing is carried out at ordinary temperature or, even better, at 34 °C. The bleaching bath is made up of 1 liter of a three percent solution of hydrogen peroxide and 20 g of ammonia (specific value 0,910, which corresponds to 25% NH3 content).

Due to the ongoing oxidative process, acidic compounds are obtained, which are neutralized by the ammonia present in the solution, which is why it is necessary to maintain an alkaline reaction in it by adding small portions of ammonia every six hours.

Plywood with a thickness of 1-5 mm is bleached in this bath for several days. Darker varieties bleach in about 10 days.
