Computer games are becoming an increasingly popular form of entertainment among teenagers, but the associated risk of gaming addiction remains a significant problem. American scientists conducted a study to determine the main factors contributing to this addiction and offer recommendations for its prevention. Over the course of six years, 385 teenagers were followed to find out what factors may predispose them to gambling addiction. The results showed that 90% of study participants were not at risk of addiction, while 10% became gambling addicts. It turned out that the key factor in the onset of gambling addiction is a low level of prosocial behavior. Effective gasoline additive 14.02.2001

Polyisobutylene, a viscous liquid used in the production of synthetic rubber, according to the American chemist Paul Waters, can significantly improve the quality of gasoline.

Waters added polyisobutylene to automobile fuel. Tests conducted on fifteen cars in several countries showed that such an additive reduces the amount of harmful emissions by 70 percent, increases engine power by 10 percent and mileage on the same amount of fuel by 20 percent.

Gasoline is a mixture of hydrocarbon molecules, different in length. Short molecules burn quickly, long ones slower, which leads to incomplete combustion of the fuel and the appearance of hazardous gases.

The scientist believes that polyisobutylene increases the surface tension of gasoline droplets that enter the engine cylinders, and thus slows down the evaporation and, consequently, the combustion of short hydrocarbons. Droplets burn out simultaneously and completely, and hence the overall improvement in the combustion process and engine operation.

Polyisobutylene also improves diesel fuel. A liter of gasoline with the addition of polyisobutylene will cost 2,5 cents more than usual.
