The solar distiller can be used to desalinate salt water, sea water and polluted water. For a day, one such distiller can produce up to 1,5 liters of water. To increase its productivity, the pit is half-filled with freshly picked plants, camel thorn shoots, or filled with water that needs to be cleaned.

It should be remembered that with the sunset, the work of this "distillation" apparatus will not stop. In the evening, the film cools rapidly while the soil temperature remains relatively high, so the steam continues to condense on the surface of the plastic. From four o'clock in the evening to eight o'clock in the morning you can get one and a half times more water than in the whole day.
