At first it is fleshy, then stiffens. Its color is from light brown to dark reddish. Inside the leaflet is one hard shiny brown seed 6-7 mm long. Grows in forests, groves and bushes at an altitude of 600-1600 m above sea level. y. m. Sometimes forms thickets.
