Adenoids - this is an overgrowth of lymphoid tissue, which forms the third pharyngeal tonsil. It is located on the vault of the nasopharynx and it is impossible to see it through the mouth without special devices. There are six tonsils in total. The first two tonsils are called palatine, they are the largest, they are visible to the naked eye. The remaining tonsils are much smaller, they are located in the mucous membrane of the upper respiratory tract. All six tonsils form the so-called "pharyngeal ring" and perform a protective function, helping the body fight germs. But when the lymphoid tissue grows too much, it itself becomes a breeding ground for microbes. Therefore, children often get sick. Adenoids disrupt blood circulation in the nasal mucosa, this leads to chronic runny nose and inflammation of the sinuses - sinusitis.

As a rule, adenoids appear in children at the age of 2-3 years, and by the age of 10 they either disappear or pose a threat of permanent illness, therefore they must be removed surgically. However, even after surgery, adenoids can reappear and create the same problems. Long-term, almost permanent, conservative treatment (with the help of herbs, homeopathic remedies and general hardening of the body) is much more effective. It is necessary to treat adenoids, since prolonged shallow and frequent breathing through the mouth causes abnormal development of the chest and leads to anemia. In addition, due to constant oral breathing in children, the growth of the bones of the face and teeth is disrupted and a special adenoid type of face is formed: the mouth is half open, the lower jaw becomes elongated and sagging, and the upper incisors protrude significantly.

Symptoms of adenoids

The child breathes through his mouth, which is often open, especially at night.

There is no runny nose, and nasal breathing is difficult.

Prolonged runny nose, which is difficult to treat.

When medical attention is needed

Adenoids are a chronic disease and do not require emergency medical care.

Folk remedies for the treatment of adenoids

With severe exacerbations, when the child has severe difficulty breathing, naphthyzinum and other vasodilators help. To facilitate breathing, half a pipette is instilled into each nostril (for children under five years old) and a whole pipette for those who are over five years old.

To reduce swelling and relieve inflammation, a mixture of naphthyzine and protargol (1: 1) is instilled.

It helps to stop the growth of lymphoid tissue by instilling a decoction of oak bark 3-5 drops 3 times a day (1 tablespoon per glass of boiling water, insist overnight).

Bury tea tree oil into the nose (1-2 drops 3 times a day), after clearing the nasal passages well.

Artificial leather for touch emulation 15.04.2024

In a modern technology world where distance is becoming increasingly commonplace, maintaining connection and a sense of closeness is important. Recent developments in artificial skin by German scientists from Saarland University represent a new era in virtual interactions. German researchers from Saarland University have developed ultra-thin films that can transmit the sensation of touch over a distance. This cutting-edge technology provides new opportunities for virtual communication, especially for those who find themselves far from their loved ones. The ultra-thin films developed by the researchers, just 50 micrometers thick, can be integrated into textiles and worn like a second skin. These films act as sensors that recognize tactile signals from mom or dad, and as actuators that transmit these movements to the baby. Parents' touch to the fabric activates sensors that react to pressure and deform the ultra-thin film. This ... >>

Petgugu Global cat litter 15.04.2024

Taking care of pets can often be a challenge, especially when it comes to keeping your home clean. A new interesting solution from the Petgugu Global startup has been presented, which will make life easier for cat owners and help them keep their home perfectly clean and tidy. Startup Petgugu Global has unveiled a unique cat toilet that can automatically flush feces, keeping your home clean and fresh. This innovative device is equipped with various smart sensors that monitor your pet's toilet activity and activate to automatically clean after use. The device connects to the sewer system and ensures efficient waste removal without the need for intervention from the owner. Additionally, the toilet has a large flushable storage capacity, making it ideal for multi-cat households. The Petgugu cat litter bowl is designed for use with water-soluble litters and offers a range of additional ... >>

The attractiveness of caring men 14.04.2024

The stereotype that women prefer "bad boys" has long been widespread. However, recent research conducted by British scientists from Monash University offers a new perspective on this issue. They looked at how women responded to men's emotional responsibility and willingness to help others. The study's findings could change our understanding of what makes men attractive to women. A study conducted by scientists from Monash University leads to new findings about men's attractiveness to women. In the experiment, women were shown photographs of men with brief stories about their behavior in various situations, including their reaction to an encounter with a homeless person. Some of the men ignored the homeless man, while others helped him, such as buying him food. A study found that men who showed empathy and kindness were more attractive to women compared to men who showed empathy and kindness. ... >>

96-layer 3D TLC NAND memory 02.07.2017

Toshiba Memory Corporation announced the creation of a prototype 96-layer BiCS FLASH flash memory chip with a three-dimensional layout. Each cell of this memory stores three bits of information. Evaluation samples of 96-layer 3D TLC NAND flash memory chips with a density of 256 Gb should appear in the second half of the year, and the manufacturer expects to start serial production in 2018.

The new memory is suitable for consumer and enterprise SSDs, smartphones, tablets and memory cards.

The manufacturer plans to release 96-layer microcircuits with a density of 512 Gbit and the introduction of QLC technology, which allows storing four bits in each cell.

Compared to 64-layer BiCS FLASH memory, the specific storage density is increased by 40%. This allows more memory to be made from a single wafer and lower cost per bit.

The release of 96-layer BiCS FLASH memory is planned to be mastered at the Fab 5 factory, the Fab 2 factory opened about a year ago, and at the Fab 6 factory, which should start operating next summer.
