During operation, removable load-handling devices and containers must be subject to periodic inspection at the established time, but not less often than:

  • traverses - every 6 months;
  • captures and containers - after 1 month;
  • slings - every 10 days (with the exception of rarely used ones). Rarely used removable load-handling devices should be inspected before being put into operation.

2.5. Carry out an external inspection of removable load-handling devices (ropes, slings, traverses, hooks) and make sure that they are in good condition.

If removable load-handling devices have surface wear of wires or broken strands, cracks and wear of the hook in the mouth, parts of its suspension, the order picker must warn the person responsible for the safe performance of work on the movement of goods by hoisting machines, or the person responsible for maintaining hoisting machines in good working order. condition, and obtain permission to use this load handling device in work or to reject it.

Rejected removable load-handling devices, as well as load-handling devices that do not have a tag (brand), should not be located at the work sites.

2.6. Removable load-handling devices received by the enterprise from repair can be used by order pickers only after a preliminary inspection. It is forbidden to use lifting devices that have not passed the test.

2.7. Check the presence and serviceability of the original conveyors of empty containers, the presence on it of an inscription about its purpose, number, own weight and maximum weight of the cargo for which it is intended to be transported.

Unmarked and damaged containers are not allowed in the places of work.

2.15. Carry out a trial movement along the required trajectory of the movement of the load.

2.16. If any malfunctions are found in the operation of the manipulator, turn off the manipulator and call the maintenance personnel. It is prohibited to carry out loading and unloading operations with a faulty manipulator.

3. Safety requirements during work

3.1. Send a signal from the picker's console to the control point that the working areas of the given picker's workplace (RCS) are free and ready to receive warehouse cargo units with the picking cargo, after making sure that the conveyors are not cluttered with foreign objects, tools, containers that were not taken out in time from work area

Artificial leather for touch emulation 15.04.2024

In a modern technology world where distance is becoming increasingly commonplace, maintaining connection and a sense of closeness is important. Recent developments in artificial skin by German scientists from Saarland University represent a new era in virtual interactions. German researchers from Saarland University have developed ultra-thin films that can transmit the sensation of touch over a distance. This cutting-edge technology provides new opportunities for virtual communication, especially for those who find themselves far from their loved ones. The ultra-thin films developed by the researchers, just 50 micrometers thick, can be integrated into textiles and worn like a second skin. These films act as sensors that recognize tactile signals from mom or dad, and as actuators that transmit these movements to the baby. Parents' touch to the fabric activates sensors that react to pressure and deform the ultra-thin film. This ... >>

The attractiveness of caring men 14.04.2024

The stereotype that women prefer "bad boys" has long been widespread. However, recent research conducted by British scientists from Monash University offers a new perspective on this issue. They looked at how women responded to men's emotional responsibility and willingness to help others. The study's findings could change our understanding of what makes men attractive to women. A study conducted by scientists from Monash University leads to new findings about men's attractiveness to women. In the experiment, women were shown photographs of men with brief stories about their behavior in various situations, including their reaction to an encounter with a homeless person. Some of the men ignored the homeless man, while others helped him, such as buying him food. A study found that men who showed empathy and kindness were more attractive to women compared to men who showed empathy and kindness. ... >>
