Requirements and labor protection standards for civil aviation workers are established by the Rules approved by the Ministry of Transport of the Russian Federation.

Labor protection rules are established separately for each category of civil aviation workers. So, for onboard conductors, the Standard Instruction on Labor Protection for onboard conductors, approved by order of the Ministry of Transport of the Russian Federation dated May 22, 2003 No. 137, is mandatory; for workers working with special fluids - Industry rules for labor protection when working with special fluids in civil aviation organizations, approved by order of the Ministry of Transport of the Russian Federation dated March 20, 2003 No. 27; for employees of aviation enterprises and civil aviation organizations using technical paper of the ECB brand or its modifications, which include formaldehyde, ethylene glycol and pyrocatechol - Industry rules for labor protection when working with electrochemical paper of the ECB type in the flight information departments of civil aviation organizations, approved by order of the Ministry of Transport of the Russian Federation dated March 20, 2003 No. 26; controllers are subject to the "Hygienic requirements for the conditions and organization of work of civil aviation air traffic controllers" (approved by the Decree of the Chief State Sanitary Doctor of the Russian Federation of February 21, 2002 No. 7) Sanitary Rules SP 2.5.1.1107-02; the flight crew of the Tu-154 crew (aircraft commander, co-pilot, flight engineer and navigator) is subject to the Standard Instruction No. DV-20/I dated March 1996, 40 on labor protection for the flight crew of the crew of the Tu-154 aircraft (TOI R-54- 002-96) (approved by the Department of Air Transport of the Ministry of Transport of the Russian Federation on March 20, 1996).

For all employees of organizations in the aviation and defense industry, Decree of the Ministry of Labor of the Russian Federation of December 29, 1997 No. 68 approved the Model Industry Standards for the free issue of special clothing, special footwear and other personal protective equipment.

In civil aviation, the following sanitary rules apply:

  • for the maintenance and repair of radio engineering devices of civil aviation aircraft (approved by the USSR State Committee for Sanitary and Epidemiological Supervision of November 12, 1991 No. 6031-91), the content of the requirements for the main jobs;
  • for aviation technical bases of civil aviation operating enterprises (approved by the USSR State Committee for Sanitary and Epidemiological Supervision of September 1, 1989 No. 5059-89), containing requirements for industrial buildings, premises and structures of ATB.

Sanitary rules and norms SanPiN 2.5.1.051-96 "Working and rest conditions for civil aviation flight personnel" (approved by the Decree of the State Committee for Sanitary and Epidemiological Supervision of the Russian Federation dated March 19, 1996 No. 7) determine the sanitary and hygienic requirements for workplaces in the cockpits of aircraft and helicopters and rest conditions for civil aviation flight personnel, and are mandatory for institutions and organizations engaged in the design, manufacture of domestic and operation of domestic and imported aircraft, as well as the design, construction, reconstruction and operation of premises intended for ground work and rest of flight personnel.

Machine for thinning flowers in gardens 02.05.2024

In modern agriculture, technological progress is developing aimed at increasing the efficiency of plant care processes. The innovative Florix flower thinning machine was presented in Italy, designed to optimize the harvesting stage. This tool is equipped with mobile arms, allowing it to be easily adapted to the needs of the garden. The operator can adjust the speed of the thin wires by controlling them from the tractor cab using a joystick. This approach significantly increases the efficiency of the flower thinning process, providing the possibility of individual adjustment to the specific conditions of the garden, as well as the variety and type of fruit grown in it. After testing the Florix machine for two years on various types of fruit, the results were very encouraging. Farmers such as Filiberto Montanari, who has used a Florix machine for several years, have reported a significant reduction in the time and labor required to thin flowers. ... >>

Advanced Infrared Microscope 02.05.2024

Microscopes play an important role in scientific research, allowing scientists to delve into structures and processes invisible to the eye. However, various microscopy methods have their limitations, and among them was the limitation of resolution when using the infrared range. But the latest achievements of Japanese researchers from the University of Tokyo open up new prospects for studying the microworld. Scientists from the University of Tokyo have unveiled a new microscope that will revolutionize the capabilities of infrared microscopy. This advanced instrument allows you to see the internal structures of living bacteria with amazing clarity on the nanometer scale. Typically, mid-infrared microscopes are limited by low resolution, but the latest development from Japanese researchers overcomes these limitations. According to scientists, the developed microscope allows creating images with a resolution of up to 120 nanometers, which is 30 times higher than the resolution of traditional microscopes. ... >>

Air trap for insects 01.05.2024

Agriculture is one of the key sectors of the economy, and pest control is an integral part of this process. A team of scientists from the Indian Council of Agricultural Research-Central Potato Research Institute (ICAR-CPRI), Shimla, has come up with an innovative solution to this problem - a wind-powered insect air trap. This device addresses the shortcomings of traditional pest control methods by providing real-time insect population data. The trap is powered entirely by wind energy, making it an environmentally friendly solution that requires no power. Its unique design allows monitoring of both harmful and beneficial insects, providing a complete overview of the population in any agricultural area. “By assessing target pests at the right time, we can take necessary measures to control both pests and diseases,” says Kapil ... >>

The largest indoor swimming pool will be built 08.06.2021

Blue Abyss Ltd. plans to start building the world's largest and deepest indoor swimming pool soon. The volume of water in this pool will be 42 cubic meters, or 168 million cups of tea, using the traditional British unit. And this facility is being created primarily to test new technologies from the field of underwater robotics, plus, the pool will be the world's first commercial educational and training center for astronauts.

Indoor swimming pools are an excellent place to test underwater navigation technology, divers or astronauts to train in simulated weightlessness. In use for more than a century, these basins easily control a wide variety of environmental aspects, allowing submersible design to be tested and complex technical problems to be solved under conditions of abrupt, controlled change.

The Blue Abyss facility, which will cost about US$212 million, will be built near Newquay Cornwall Airport, UK, and will be located in close proximity to the Cornwall spaceport. The pool will have the following dimensions - 50 meters long, 40 meters wide and 50 meters deep, and its volume will be equivalent to the volume of 17 Olympic standard pools. The point of maximum depth of this pool will be at the bottom of the shaft, with a diameter of 16 meters.

The dimensions of the Blue Abyss pool will be sufficient to allow entire copies of the modules of the International Space Station to be immersed in the pool, in addition, full tests of robotic underwater vehicles and tests of underwater power plants will be carried out in the depths of the pool. If necessary, it will be possible to lower models of underwater caves, sunken ships and aircraft into the pool, for which the complex is equipped with a sliding roof and a 30-ton crane. In addition to all this, the pool is equipped with tools that allow you to control and regulate water temperature, illumination, water salinity, simulate currents of various strengths and directions at various depths.

Currently, Blue Abyss has already received permission from the British authorities to begin construction of the pool. The entire construction process should be completed within 18 months and the opening of the pool, therefore, should take place in 2023.
