I saw in the hospital how cleverly the nurse fastened a bandage on me from a bandage: not as usual, tying the cut end of the tape, but with the help of some kind of paper clip. He examined and marveled at the simplicity and wit of her device. And when at home I had to use an elastic bandage for a long time, I remembered a paper clip and made myself the same one in five minutes.

I cut a short strip from a tin can, cut it into two parts and made holes in each for the elastic band connecting them. Opposite edges with scissors and tweezers turned into claws - that's all. At one strip, they dig into the bandage before the end, then the elastic is pulled through it, and the claws of the second dig in, firmly holding the bandage.
