Google has officially unveiled the Chromebook Pixel laptop based on the Google Chrome OS cloud operating system. The Chromebook Pixel "combines the best hardware, software and design," according to a Google blog post. The company explained that the goal of creating the computer was to provide the simplest, fastest and most secure system for accessing email, sharing documents and Google+ Hangouts web chats.
