What is American Football?

With the football that we are used to in Europe, this American version of the game has almost nothing in common.

Two teams of 11 players each play with a 6-gram leather egg-shaped ball with the aim of bringing it to the opponent's end zone and placing it on the ground there. For this so-called "touch" the team receives XNUMX points. The next points the team will receive if they manage to throw the ball over the crossbar of the opponent's goal or carry the ball over the end line.

Due to the allowed hard collisions of the players, their equipment includes helmets and protective pads for the shoulders and other vulnerable areas.

World's largest radio telescope under construction 19.08.2009

The world's largest radio telescope is now the 1964-meter Arecibo telescope in the crater of an extinct volcano in Puerto Rico.
