The United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) has filed a patent application by Ford for an electrically heated seat belt.

The operation of the heated seat belt is very simple: electric heating elements are sewn into the fabric of the belt, and power is supplied to them after the lock is clicked into place. In the 31-page patent, Ford even offers several belt options with different buckle designs. Yes, this is not the most revolutionary idea, but warm belts can be a really nice thing.
