Porsche Macan electric crossover 02.02.2024

Porsche unveils its next step into the electric mobility industry with the Macan electric crossover. Two models are announced: Macan 4 and Macan Turbo.

The Porsche Macan represents a significant step into the electric vehicle era, promising outstanding efficiency and impressive performance characteristics, confirming Porsche's progress in electric mobility technology.

The new Macan features a 100 kWh battery and 800 V architecture for fast charging. Porsche promises the Macan will be able to accept up to 270 kW during fast charging, and a charge from 10 to 80% will take just 21 minutes. When using household AC charging stations with a power of up to 11 kW, charging is possible.

While driving, the electric motors are capable of recovering up to 240 kW of energy. The Integrated Power Block (IPB) provides efficiency by combining the on-board charger, high-voltage heater and DC-DC converter.

The WLTP range is up to 613 km for the Macan 4 and up to 591 km for the Macan Turbo. The Macan 4 delivers up to 300 kW (408 hp) with Launch Control, while the Macan Turbo delivers up to 470 kW (639 hp). Both models have impressive torque.

Boot capacity varies depending on the model and equipment installed, reaching up to 540 liters behind the rear seats and 84 liters in the “front boot”. With the rear seats folded down, capacity increases to 1348 liters.

Prices for new models start at $80450.
