Latest news of science and technology, new electronics:

The existence of an entropy rule for quantum entanglement has been proven 09.05.2024

Quantum mechanics continues to amaze us with its mysterious phenomena and unexpected discoveries. Recently, Bartosz Regula from the RIKEN Center for Quantum Computing and Ludovico Lamy from the University of Amsterdam presented a new discovery that concerns quantum entanglement and its relation to entropy. Quantum entanglement plays an important role in modern quantum information science and technology. However, the complexity of its structure makes understanding and managing it challenging. Regulus and Lamy's discovery shows that quantum entanglement follows an entropy rule similar to that for classical systems. This discovery opens new perspectives in the field of quantum information science and technology, deepening our understanding of quantum entanglement and its connection to thermodynamics. The results of the study indicate the possibility of reversibility of entanglement transformations, which could greatly simplify their use in various quantum technologies. Opening a new rule ... >>

Energy from space for Starship 08.05.2024

Producing solar energy in space is becoming more feasible with the advent of new technologies and the development of space programs. The head of the startup Virtus Solis shared his vision of using SpaceX's Starship to create orbital power plants capable of powering the Earth. Startup Virtus Solis has unveiled an ambitious project to create orbital power plants using SpaceX's Starship. This idea could significantly change the field of solar energy production, making it more accessible and cheaper. The core of the startup's plan is to reduce the cost of launching satellites into space using Starship. This technological breakthrough is expected to make solar energy production in space more competitive with traditional energy sources. Virtual Solis plans to build large photovoltaic panels in orbit, using Starship to deliver the necessary equipment. However, one of the key challenges ... >>

Canon EOS 6D Mark II Camera 29.06.2017

Canon has unveiled the EOS 6D Mark II full-frame DSLR.

The debut device is based on a CMOS sensor (35,9 x 24 mm) with 26,2 million pixels. Image processing is carried out by a high-performance DIGIC 7 processor. Light sensitivity is ISO 100-40000, expandable to ISO 50-102400.

The camera has Dual Pixel CMOS AF technology. This sensor-assisted, phase-detection AF system is designed to provide smooth and fast focus shifting for movies of moving subjects, as well as fast autofocusing for Live View photography. Full HD (60p/30p) video recording is supported.

A metering sensor with a resolution of 7560 pixels and recognition of infrared rays is used, which works in the infrared range and visible light.

The EOS 6D Mark II is the first full-frame EOS camera to feature built-in 5-axis stabilization in movie mode to compensate for camera shake when shooting on the go and handheld.

The camera is equipped with an optical viewfinder with 98% frame coverage and a 3-inch swivel display with touch control support. The footage is stored on an SD/SDHC/SDXC card.

The shutter speed range is 1/4000-30 s. Sequential photography at 6,5 frames per second is supported.

The camera is made in a durable magnesium alloy housing with protection against moisture and dust. Dimensions are 144 x 111 x 75 mm, weight - approximately 765 grams.

Among other things, it is worth highlighting the presence of Wi-Fi 802.11b / g / n and Bluetooth wireless adapters, an NFC module, a GPS satellite navigation system receiver and a stereo microphone.

The Canon EOS 6D Mark II will go on sale in late July for an estimated price of $2000 without optics and $3100 with a Canon EF 24-105mm f/4L IS USM II lens.
