Sony has announced a next-generation VR headset for the PlayStation 5 console.

The PlayStation VR team has gained a lot of experience since the launch of the headset on PS4 and promises to deliver the ultimate experience in the new development. Improvements will be made to all components of the system, including screens with higher resolution and field of view, new input devices and the overall usability of the helmet. You only need one cable to connect to your PS5, simplifying setup and delivering high quality images.

Separately, it is said about the virtual reality controller, which will include some of the key features of the DualSense wireless controller, as well as pay special attention to ergonomics.

For at least another year, the PlayStation VR headset of the first revision will continue to be the current VR solution for PS5 and PS4. Despite its age by industry standards (it was released in 2016), Sony continues to actively support PSVR and is preparing new games, for example, After The Fall, Sniper Elite VR and Humanity.
