Liquid cooling system Eisbaer LT 92

31.08.2020

Alphacool introduced the Eisbaer LT 92 liquid cooling system designed for small computers. It can be considered a lighter version of the classic Eisbaer LT, devoid of quick couplings for positioning purposes and supplied with hoses only 25 cm long.

Despite the small size of the copper radiator, equal to 134 x 90 x 30 mm, LSS provides sufficient cooling even for powerful processors. The DC-LT pump, running at 2600 rpm, generates a flow of 70 l/h. It is combined with a copper water block into a block with dimensions of 69 x 69 x 39 mm.

Complete mounts provide compatibility with AMD processors AM4, AM3+, AM3, AM2+, AM2, 939, FM2+, FM2, FM1, G34 and 940, as well as Intel processors LGA 2066, 115x, 755, 2011-3, 2011 , 1366 and 1200.

The Eisbaer LT 92 uses hoses and fittings from the Enterprise Solution series, which are more reliable and kink resistant. Fans are not included.

The price of the novelty is 73,09 euros.

The existence of an entropy rule for quantum entanglement has been proven 09.05.2024

Quantum mechanics continues to amaze us with its mysterious phenomena and unexpected discoveries. Recently, Bartosz Regula from the RIKEN Center for Quantum Computing and Ludovico Lamy from the University of Amsterdam presented a new discovery that concerns quantum entanglement and its relation to entropy. Quantum entanglement plays an important role in modern quantum information science and technology. However, the complexity of its structure makes understanding and managing it challenging. Regulus and Lamy's discovery shows that quantum entanglement follows an entropy rule similar to that for classical systems. This discovery opens new perspectives in the field of quantum information science and technology, deepening our understanding of quantum entanglement and its connection to thermodynamics. The results of the study indicate the possibility of reversibility of entanglement transformations, which could greatly simplify their use in various quantum technologies. Opening a new rule ... >>

New method for creating powerful batteries 08.05.2024

With the development of technology and the expanding use of electronics, the issue of creating efficient and safe energy sources is becoming increasingly urgent. Researchers at the University of Queensland have unveiled a new approach to creating high-power zinc-based batteries that could change the landscape of the energy industry. One of the main problems with traditional water-based rechargeable batteries was their low voltage, which limited their use in modern devices. But thanks to a new method developed by scientists, this drawback has been successfully overcome. As part of their research, scientists turned to a special organic compound - catechol. It turned out to be an important component that can improve battery stability and increase its efficiency. This approach has led to a significant increase in the voltage of zinc-ion batteries, making them more competitive. According to scientists, such batteries have several advantages. They have b ... >>

Alcohol content of warm beer 07.05.2024

Beer, as one of the most common alcoholic drinks, has its own unique taste, which can change depending on the temperature of consumption. A new study by an international team of scientists has found that beer temperature has a significant impact on the perception of alcoholic taste. The study, led by materials scientist Lei Jiang, found that at different temperatures, ethanol and water molecules form different types of clusters, which affects the perception of alcoholic taste. At low temperatures, more pyramid-like clusters form, which reduces the pungency of the "ethanol" taste and makes the drink taste less alcoholic. On the contrary, as the temperature increases, the clusters become more chain-like, resulting in a more pronounced alcoholic taste. This explains why the taste of some alcoholic drinks, such as baijiu, can change depending on temperature. The data obtained opens up new prospects for beverage manufacturers, ... >>

Tablet version of Ubuntu 21.02.2013

Canonical, the developer of the Ubuntu Linux distribution, has unveiled the Ubuntu operating system for tablets. The appearance of the Ubuntu tablet version is designed in full accordance with the concept of Ubuntu for desktop PCs, TVs and smartphones. Versions of Ubuntu for TVs and smartphones have already been presented. "Now our family of interfaces spans all screens, and your phone can provide the functionality of a tablet, TV or PC when docked," said Canonical founder and CEO Mark Shuttleworth.

The tablet version of Ubuntu has a Side Stage feature. It allows you to split the screen into two parts and open a tablet application in one part, and a phone application in the other and work with them at the same time. For example, a user can watch a movie while typing on Twitter, surfing the web and jotting down notes in a notebook, Shuttleworth said.

The tablet version of Ubuntu supports multiple account storage so that multiple family members can use the tablet. Access is password-protected, and each account's data is encrypted using industry standards used by financial and government institutions.
Demonstration of the Ubuntu interface on a tablet

The Ubuntu shell is maximally adapted to touch screens and supports a diagonal from 6 to 20 inches and a pixel density from 100 to 450 ppi. Management is performed using gestures, all corners of the screen are involved. The search function is made in such a way that all content matching the query is displayed on the screen. The user selects the desired item, and the application for viewing it opens automatically.

Ubuntu does not require any special hardware, because during the 4 years of cooperation with ARM Holdings, the platform code has already been optimized for the ARM architecture. The system can be easily run on almost any hardware platform designed to work with Android, the company added.
