Altimeters MS5611 and MS5607

28.08.2019

TE Connectivity manufactures precision atmospheric pressure sensors that can be used as altimeters with a resolution of up to 10 centimeters.

MS5611-01BA03, MS5607-02BA are representatives of a line of high-resolution sensors developed by MEAS (Switzerland). These barometric pressure sensors are equipped with SPI and I2C interfaces and are optimized for use in variometers and altimeters with a height resolution of 10...20 centimeters.

The assembly includes a highly linear pressure sensor and a 24-bit ultra-low power ADC with internal factory calibration. The high resolution of the internal temperature sensor allows the altimeter/thermometer function to be realized without the use of an external temperature sensor.

MS5611/MS5607 can work together with various types of microcontrollers. There is no need to program the internal registers of the device due to the simple communication protocol.

The miniature 5x3x1 mm housing allows this sensor to be integrated into portable mobile electronics devices.

The next generation sensor modules integrate MEAS' decades of excellence in MEMS technology and high volume production of altimetry modules.

The result of these technologies is very low hysteresis and extremely stable output signals, both pressure and temperature.

Features of MS560702BA03-50 and MS561101BA03-50:

High resolution altimeter:
MS561101BA03-50 up to 10 cm;
MS560702BA03-50 up to 20 cm;
Fast measurements - up to 1 ms;
Low consumption, 1 µA (standby < 0,15 µA);
Housing QFN 5,0 x 3,0 x 1,0mm;
Supply voltage 1,8...3,6 V;
Integrated atmospheric pressure sensor (24 bit ADC);
Measuring range: 10 to 1200 mbar, -40...85°C;
I2C and SPI interfaces up to 20 MHz;

The existence of an entropy rule for quantum entanglement has been proven 09.05.2024

Quantum mechanics continues to amaze us with its mysterious phenomena and unexpected discoveries. Recently, Bartosz Regula from the RIKEN Center for Quantum Computing and Ludovico Lamy from the University of Amsterdam presented a new discovery that concerns quantum entanglement and its relation to entropy. Quantum entanglement plays an important role in modern quantum information science and technology. However, the complexity of its structure makes understanding and managing it challenging. Regulus and Lamy's discovery shows that quantum entanglement follows an entropy rule similar to that for classical systems. This discovery opens new perspectives in the field of quantum information science and technology, deepening our understanding of quantum entanglement and its connection to thermodynamics. The results of the study indicate the possibility of reversibility of entanglement transformations, which could greatly simplify their use in various quantum technologies. Opening a new rule ... >>

New method for creating powerful batteries 08.05.2024

With the development of technology and the expanding use of electronics, the issue of creating efficient and safe energy sources is becoming increasingly urgent. Researchers at the University of Queensland have unveiled a new approach to creating high-power zinc-based batteries that could change the landscape of the energy industry. One of the main problems with traditional water-based rechargeable batteries was their low voltage, which limited their use in modern devices. But thanks to a new method developed by scientists, this drawback has been successfully overcome. As part of their research, scientists turned to a special organic compound - catechol. It turned out to be an important component that can improve battery stability and increase its efficiency. This approach has led to a significant increase in the voltage of zinc-ion batteries, making them more competitive. According to scientists, such batteries have several advantages. They have b ... >>

Alcohol content of warm beer 07.05.2024

Beer, as one of the most common alcoholic drinks, has its own unique taste, which can change depending on the temperature of consumption. A new study by an international team of scientists has found that beer temperature has a significant impact on the perception of alcoholic taste. The study, led by materials scientist Lei Jiang, found that at different temperatures, ethanol and water molecules form different types of clusters, which affects the perception of alcoholic taste. At low temperatures, more pyramid-like clusters form, which reduces the pungency of the "ethanol" taste and makes the drink taste less alcoholic. On the contrary, as the temperature increases, the clusters become more chain-like, resulting in a more pronounced alcoholic taste. This explains why the taste of some alcoholic drinks, such as baijiu, can change depending on temperature. The data obtained opens up new prospects for beverage manufacturers, ... >>

Profits from the sale of World of Warcraft servers will go to charity 31.01.2012

Blizzard, which is the developer and owner of one of the most popular online games World of Warcraft, is going to arrange a sale of blade servers that served the largest gaming service. All proceeds from the sale of two thousand systems will go to charity, each server comes in a transparent box, and a plate with the WoW logo and autographs of the developers is also included.

The developer rightly reasoned that many players were emotionally attached to their game worlds, so when publishing lots on the eBay online auction, it will be indicated which part of the WoW virtual universe he served. Thus, everyone will be able to purchase exactly the blade server that has served him faithfully for a long time, and with which so many pleasant memories are associated.

All profits from the sale, which will end at the end of the month, will go to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital (USA, Memphis), a pediatric research medical institution that focuses on oncology and other serious diseases. Blizzard Entertainment CEO Mike Morhaime, in a statement on the new initiative, compared the WoW game worlds to real residential areas and said that people who made friends here and experienced unforgettable moments got a real chance to acquire their physical expression and help children in the process.
