Canon XEED 4K4Z Compact 600K Projector

09.11.2017

Canon has announced the launch of the XEED 4K600Z, a compact and bright Laser Phosphor LCOS projector with higher than hardware 4K resolution.

With 4K (4096 x 2400) native resolution, LCOS technology and advanced AISYS optical system based on Canon's specialized lenses, the XEED 4K600Z projector delivers high detail and accurate color reproduction in the sRGB color space. Luminous flux - 6000 lumens.

No distortion due to minimal field curvature, motion blur compensation, and ultra-fast response (1,0 frame lag at 60 Hz) further enhance image quality and viewing comfort. Sharp focus is virtually unaffected by working conditions: the image will be sharp even when projecting onto a curved or domed surface.

Together with the lens, the XEED 4K600Z weighs only 26 kg. It mounts at any angle, and the +/- 60% vertical and +/-10% horizontal lens shift motor allows you to shift the image without touching the projector itself, further simplifying installation.

A Wi-Fi connection allows you to remotely control the projector from iOS devices (in previous models, remote control was only possible with a wired LAN connection) . The new Canon Projector Service Tool for iOS saves time by allowing you to control your projector remotely, as well as view and resolve problems.

Instead of a traditional lamp, the XEED 4K600Z is equipped with a blue laser light source, which gives a more powerful light output and allows you to more accurately adjust the brightness level. As a result, the life of the projector has increased to 40 hours, and the need for maintenance has been significantly reduced - as well as the costs due to downtime.

The existence of an entropy rule for quantum entanglement has been proven 09.05.2024

Quantum mechanics continues to amaze us with its mysterious phenomena and unexpected discoveries. Recently, Bartosz Regula from the RIKEN Center for Quantum Computing and Ludovico Lamy from the University of Amsterdam presented a new discovery that concerns quantum entanglement and its relation to entropy. Quantum entanglement plays an important role in modern quantum information science and technology. However, the complexity of its structure makes understanding and managing it challenging. Regulus and Lamy's discovery shows that quantum entanglement follows an entropy rule similar to that for classical systems. This discovery opens new perspectives in the field of quantum information science and technology, deepening our understanding of quantum entanglement and its connection to thermodynamics. The results of the study indicate the possibility of reversibility of entanglement transformations, which could greatly simplify their use in various quantum technologies. Opening a new rule ... >>

New method for creating powerful batteries 08.05.2024

With the development of technology and the expanding use of electronics, the issue of creating efficient and safe energy sources is becoming increasingly urgent. Researchers at the University of Queensland have unveiled a new approach to creating high-power zinc-based batteries that could change the landscape of the energy industry. One of the main problems with traditional water-based rechargeable batteries was their low voltage, which limited their use in modern devices. But thanks to a new method developed by scientists, this drawback has been successfully overcome. As part of their research, scientists turned to a special organic compound - catechol. It turned out to be an important component that can improve battery stability and increase its efficiency. This approach has led to a significant increase in the voltage of zinc-ion batteries, making them more competitive. According to scientists, such batteries have several advantages. They have b ... >>

Alcohol content of warm beer 07.05.2024

Beer, as one of the most common alcoholic drinks, has its own unique taste, which can change depending on the temperature of consumption. A new study by an international team of scientists has found that beer temperature has a significant impact on the perception of alcoholic taste. The study, led by materials scientist Lei Jiang, found that at different temperatures, ethanol and water molecules form different types of clusters, which affects the perception of alcoholic taste. At low temperatures, more pyramid-like clusters form, which reduces the pungency of the "ethanol" taste and makes the drink taste less alcoholic. On the contrary, as the temperature increases, the clusters become more chain-like, resulting in a more pronounced alcoholic taste. This explains why the taste of some alcoholic drinks, such as baijiu, can change depending on temperature. The data obtained opens up new prospects for beverage manufacturers, ... >>

Thermoid converts heat into electricity 27.03.2002

The Massachusetts Institute of Technology (USA) has developed a thermal diode that directly converts thermal energy into electrical energy. Thanks to these properties, the thermal diode will help solve the problems of cooling and powering small computers in the future.

The new device uses the effect of "electron gas evaporation", which is observed, for example, in the filaments of electrovacuum devices. However, the same phenomenon can also be observed in conductors heated not only by electric current, but also by any other method. However, even with strong heating (more than 1000 ° C), the current is weak, so this effect is used only in electronic thermometers that measure high temperature.

Physicists Peter Hagelyitein and Jan Kucherov were able to create a semiconductor version of such a device. In a thermal diode, thin layers of semiconductor materials are used both as electrodes and as an interlayer.

While the thermal diode operates at 200 ° C, however, scientists hope that they will be able to extract energy from less heated bodies. Chemists from the US and Japan have created a plastic that not only has magnetic properties, but also changes them when exposed to light. So, for example, a blue laser beam increases the magnetization of plastic by one and a half times, and when irradiated with green light, the magnetic properties decrease by about the same amount. This effect is manifested at any temperature below 75°C.

According to experts, on the basis of such materials it is possible to create computer storage devices of new generations.
