Compact version of the Supercharger for the city

Tesla intends to install new Supercharger electric filling stations in cities. They are smaller than electric stations near highways and hotels, and allow you to charge an electric car in about 45-50 minutes.

In North America, Tesla has already installed about 1 Superchargers, but people living in large cities often still have to resort to traditional, longer recharging. Now the company has announced a new development - more compact Supercharger, which will first appear in Chicago and Boston.

Of course, being smaller, the new Superchargers provide 72kW of power - that's almost half the size of the larger ones located near highways and hotels (they provide 120kW of power). Accordingly, new electric stations will also be slower - it will take about 45-50 minutes to fully charge.

Tesla notes that more compact Superchargers will be installed near supermarkets, shopping centers and business districts of the city - so users can spend time usefully while recharging the car.
