Balun BALF-CC26-05D3 for CC26xx transceivers

ST has released a new BALF-CC26-05D3 balun designed to match CC2620, CC2630, CC2640, CC2650 (Texas Instruments) transceivers with an antenna. The balun eliminates all LC elements between the CC26xx output and the antenna, simplifying wiring and reducing PCB area.

Additional savings are obtained by reducing the number of soldering points. The balun operates in the 2400 MHz band and is optimized for use with CC2640 and CC2650 chips in 5x5 mm packages. In addition to the impedance matching function, the BALF-CC26-05D3 balun contains a built-in harmonic filter, which simplifies certification for Bluetooth and ZigBee devices.

On a lake in the Berkshire region (UK), rafts were launched on which 800 photovoltaic panels were installed. Their total power is 200 kW.

The project is valued at $400. The farm is capable of producing a relatively small amount of electricity, but it is expected that the profit will eventually exceed $30 per month. It is assumed that the cost of creating a farm will pay off within 6 years.

It is important that the structures are completely made from recycled materials. According to the owner of the solar farm, Mark Bennet, the estimated life of its operation is 30 years. The farm is safe even if used in reservoirs that are used to obtain drinking water.

Such structures are not tied to large tracts of land, and they can be built on almost any reservoir. Among other things, solar panels contribute to the darkening of the water surface, resulting in reduced water evaporation.
