Texas Instruments LMX2594 Frequency Synthesizer

Texas Instruments has released a new LMX2594 frequency synthesizer with a wide operating frequency range and unprecedented high microwave signal parameters. LMX2594 has best in class phase noise: -236dBc/Hz; jitter 50 fs and high operating frequency - up to 15 GHz without the use of an internal multiplier.

The synthesizer contains a synchronization input, allows you to implement frequency jumps (frequency ramping), and the output signal can be taken on two differential outputs.

The LMX2594 allows you to synchronize the outputs of multiple chips, as well as provide a predictable, stable delay between input and output. A fast calibration mechanism allows you to change the frequency in 20 µs. The output power adjustment range is from 7 to 15 dBm.

The synthesizer is powered from a single voltage of 3,3 V; Built-in LDOs eliminate the need for additional on-board regulators.

Australian researchers from the University of Queensland found in the blood of green turtles living on the Great Barrier Reef, a real "cocktail" of drugs and household chemicals.
