Apacer AH650 Flash Drive with Capacitive Fingerprint Sensor

Apacer has launched the AH650 flash drive. A key feature of the device is support for fingerprint authentication using the built-in fingerprint sensor. The sensor is made not in the form of a strip along which you need to run your finger, but in the form of a platform in which it is enough to press the fingertip at any angle.

According to the manufacturer, the AH650 is the first drive with a capacitive fingerprint sensor. The new fingerprint recognition technology is said to feature high recognition speed and accuracy while being more user-friendly.

The fingerprint serves as a key to a hidden, secure part of the drive's memory. In total, the drive remembers up to ten fingerprints - eight for users and two for administrators who can add and remove users.

The USB 3.0 interface is used to connect to a PC. The speed in read mode reaches 130 MB / s. The manufacturer offers gold and silver versions of the drive with a capacity of 32 and 64 GB.

The UAE Ministry of Health has announced plans to build the world's first hospital in space.
